We explored the magic behind phonics - learning how sounds, actions, and stories come together to make reading an exciting and meaningful experience for young learners.

The session beautifully highlighted the importance of building strong literacy foundations through multisensory learning. From understanding the five key skills of Jolly Phonics to discovering creative classroom strategies, every moment was filled with insight and inspiration.

Today’s phonics class was anything but ordinary — we took our learning outside the classroom! 🧠💬
Instead of sitting at desks, our little learners traced letters, spotted sounds in nature, and practiced phonics with the rustle of leaves and chirping birds as their background music. 🐦🌿

Learning sounds in real-life surroundings helps children make stronger connections — and it’s way more fun too!

Sometimes, a change in scenery is all it takes to make those “aha!” moments even brighter. 🌈

Ever noticed how “so” feels smooth and open, but “sob” feels complete and closed? That’s no accident!
🔓 Open syllables end in a vowel, and the vowel says its name (like "me").
🔒 Closed syllables end in a consonant, making the vowel short (like "met").
Knowing the difference helps kids (and adults!) read better and spell smarter. Let’s make phonics fun and easy! 💬📚
