IIM Bodh Gaya Empowers Bihar Police Leadership Through Advanced Management Training

IIM Bodh Gaya successfully conducted a five-day Management Development Training Module for Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) from the Bihar Police Academy (BPA), Rajgir.

Programme Highlights:

• Date : 17th to 21st August 2026
• Attendees: 36 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs)
• Focus and Key Areas: Leadership, crisis communication, gender sensitisation, managerial effectiveness and decision-making

Held under the MoU signed between IIM Bodh Gaya and BPA, the training focused on strengthening the professional capabilities of participating officers and enhancing their effectiveness in leadership and decision-making.

The initiative underscores the shared commitment of IIM Bodh Gaya and the Bihar Police Academy towards developing future-ready police leadership, enhancing institutional capacity, promoting effective, responsive and citizen-centric public service delivery.

IIM Bodh Gaya celebrated the 80th Independence Day, commencing with Vande Mataram, ceremonial flag hoisting by our Hon'ble Director Prof. Vinita S. Sahay, the Director's addressal, conferring of awards to AACSB Team and staff members to acknowledge them for their contribution to institution building in various capacities, followed by a jovial tug of war event and mesmerizing cultural performances as an epilogue.

This Independence Day we also celebrated our educational milestone of receiving the AACSB accreditation and joining the top elite 6% of business schools worldwide.

Sahil Jain, an IPM student, was also recognised for his meritorious contributions to the institute. The Director mentioned how the right intention paired with discipline and consistency could carry forward the academic momentum of the institute to achieve greater things.

What are industry leaders really looking for beyond a résumé?

That question set the tone for Day 1 of Lakshya 1.0, Corporate Leadership Conclave at IIM Bodh Gaya, where distinguished corporate leaders came together with future managers for two engaging panel discussions on the evolving world of work.

The first panel, ‘From Classroom to Consulting: What the Best Firms Look for in MBA Talent’, explored the competencies, mindset and leadership qualities that organisations seek in management graduates. Moderated by Prof. Ramizur Rahman, the panel featured:

The second panel, ‘Navigating Careers in a Changing World: How Geopolitical Shifts Are Reshaping Global Business and MBA Opportunities’, examined how geopolitical developments, artificial intelligence and shifting global supply chains are transforming industries and careers. Moderated by Prof. Madhumita Das, the panel featured:

Why choose between technology and management when you can master both?

IIM Bodh Gaya and IIT Patna have signed an Addendum to their existing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), formalising the operational framework for an integrated five-year B.Tech./BS and MBA dual degree programme.

The full-time residential programme, with an intake of 60 students, follows a 3+2 model: three years of engineering, science and interdisciplinary studies at IIT Patna, followed by two years of management education at IIM Bodh Gaya. Eligible candidates will be admitted through JoSAA counselling based on their JEE (Advanced) rank, without the requirement to appear for CAT.

This collaboration between two Institutes of National Importance brings together their distinct academic strengths to develop future-ready professionals with expertise spanning technology and management, while contributing to the evolving vision of multidisciplinary education under the National Education Policy 2020.
