We will soon be resuming our mobile primary healthcare missions in about fifteen impoverished villages around Bodhgaya in the Indian state of Bihar.
In a few weeks, Florence (a doctor) and Myriam (a nurse), who have experience in treating chronic wounds, will be here. Their expertise will undoubtedly be of great help to patients suffering from these serious, debilitating, and painful conditions, which are quite common here.
They will then be joined by Solange (a doctor whose courage and motivation I commend, as she has already completed several missions with us) and Valérie (a nurse).
Of course, we are counting on the invaluable assistance of Ashish (interpreter) and Akash (driver): they are locals who know the villages and their specific needs well. They will be well supported by Marie Claire, who knows the country well and has logistical expertise, Damien (secretary and head of external relations), and Sonam, our on-site manager.
Thus, on each mission, we provide care to several hundred patients; for the most severely ill, we try to provide ongoing support thanks to our Indian partners in Gaya and Bodhgaya.
If you would like to contribute, particularly by purchasing bandages, you can do so directly on the association's website: www.ktm-care.org or on HelloAsso. Donations are tax-deductible in France.
Thank you again for your support and encouragement.
Régis (President of the KTM Association) and His Excellency Beru Khyentse Rinpoche and His Excellency Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche (Honorary Presidents)
