Teachers' Workshop –
Day 2

Activity 1: SPOKEN ACTIVITY – "Express Yourself"

OBJECTIVE:

To improve teachers' communication and public speaking skills.

To build confidence in expressing thoughts clearly.

To encourage self-reflection and active listening.

To strengthen interpersonal bonding among teachers.

Tool Used:

🧶 THREAD (YARN BAll)

PROCEDURE

All teachers stand or sit in a circle.

The facilitator begins by holding the thread and introducing themselves.

While holding one end of the thread, the facilitator rolls the thread to another teacher.

The teacher who receives the thread introduces themselves by sharing:
Name and designation.

Teaching experience.
Subject taught.

Personal strengths and interests.

Why they chose the teaching profession.

One inspiring classroom experience.

Their thoughts on how to express themselves confidently.

After speaking, the teacher holds a part of the thread and rolls it to another participant.

The activity continues until every teacher has spoken, creating a beautiful web of connections.

Learning Outcomes
Improved spoken communication.

Increased confidence in public speaking.

Better understanding and bonding among colleagues.

Development of listening and presentation skills.

Activity 2: WARM-UP ACTIVITY – "Ready for a New Concept"

OBJECTIVE:

To energize teachers before introducing a new concept.

Tool Used:

🧸 TEDDY BEAR

PROCEDURE:

All teachers stand in a circle.

Soft music may be played while the Teddy Bear is passed from one teacher to another.

When the music stops, the teacher holding the Teddy Bear answers a question related to
the previous day's workshop.

Teaching strategies.

LESSON PLANNING:

Student engagement.

The activity continues until several teachers have participated.

The facilitator then introduces the new topic by connecting teachers' responses with the day's concept.

The UKG students enjoyed a fun and interactive activity to learn the use of “a” and “an.” The
teacher first explained that we use “a” before words beginning with consonant sounds and
“an” before words beginning with vowel sounds.
The activity made learning enjoyable and helped students improve their vocabulary,
pronunciation, and sentence formation skills. All the children participated enthusiastically
and understood the concept well.
