আজ (১৬ই মে ২০২৬) মল্লারপুর টুরকু হাঁসদা লপসা হেমরম মহাবিদ্যালয়ে জাতীয় সেবা প্রকল্প (NSS), ন্যাশনাল ক্যাডেট কর্পস (NCC) ও অভ্যন্তরীণ গুণমান নিশ্চিন্তকরণ কক্ষ (IQAC)-র উদ্যোগে এবং মল্লারপুর গ্রামীন হাসপাতাল দ্বারা আয়োজিত জাতীয় ডেঙ্গু দিবস (১৬ ই মে) উদযাপন করা হলো । আজকের অনুষ্ঠানে মূল বক্তা হিসাবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন মল্লারপুর গ্রামীণ হাসপাতালের ডাক্তারবাবু সৌরভ চক্রবর্তী ও ময়ূরেশ্বর এক নম্বর ব্লকের জয়েন্ট বিডিও মহাশয়া সহ তিনজন আধিকারিক । এই আলোচনা সভায় ডেঙ্গু রোগ সংক্রমণ ও তার প্রতিরোধ সম্পর্কে বিভিন্ন বিষয়ে সচেতন করার প্রয়াস করা হয়েছে । এই অনুষ্ঠানে কলেজের শিক্ষক শিক্ষিকাগণ ও ছাত্র-ছাত্রী মিলিয়ে প্রায় ৫০ জন অংশগ্রহণকারী উপস্থিত ছিলেন।

টুরকু হাঁসদা লপসা হেমরম মহাবিদ্যালয়ের ইংরেজি বিভাগ NEP 2020-এর আলোকে শিক্ষার্থীদের সর্বাঙ্গীণ বিকাশের উদ্দেশ্যে সম্প্রতি “মহাভারত” (নির্বাচিত অংশ) অবলম্বনে একটি অভিনব পারফরম্যান্সভিত্তিক ব্যবহারিক উপস্থাপনার আয়োজন করে। পাঠ্যক্রমভিত্তিক সাহিত্য পাঠকে ব্যবহারিক ও সৃজনশীল মঞ্চ উপস্থাপনার মাধ্যমে ব্যাখ্যা করার এই উদ্যোগটি ছিল অত্যন্ত নতুন ও ব্যতিক্রমী। সাহিত্য পাঠকে কেবল তাত্ত্বিক আলোচনার মধ্যে সীমাবদ্ধ না রেখে বাস্তব অভিনয়, ব্যাখ্যা ও সমকালীন উপলব্ধির মাধ্যমে উপস্থাপন করার এই প্রয়াস উপস্থিত সকলের দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণ করে।
এই অনুষ্ঠানে ষষ্ঠ সেমেস্টারের চারটি পৃথক দল পৃথক ভাবে নিজেদের ব্যাখ্যা, নির্দেশনা ও উপলব্ধির ভিত্তিতে মহাভারতের বিভিন্ন পরিস্থিতি ও চরিত্রকে মঞ্চে উপস্থাপন করে। লিঙ্গ, জাতি, শ্রেণি ও ধর্মনিরপেক্ষ কাস্টিংয়ের মাধ্যমে আয়োজিত এই পরিবেশনা দর্শকদের বিশেষভাবে আকৃষ্ট করে এবং দর্শকমহলের প্রতিক্রিয়া ছিল অত্যন্ত ইতিবাচক।
মহাবিদ্যালয়ের অধ্যক্ষ ড. হিমাংশু শেখর মাজি তাঁর বক্তব্যে মহাভারতের এই ধরনের সমকালীন ব্যাখ্যার গুরুত্ব তুলে ধরেন এবং শিক্ষার্থীদের অধ্যবসায়, ধৈর্য ও উদ্যোগকেও সাধুবাদ দেন। IQAC সমন্বয়ক ড. নূর আপসার এধরনের অনুষ্ঠান সম্ভবত বীরভূম তথা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের মধ্যে সর্বপ্রথম ও ব্যতিক্রমী বলে উল্লেখ করেন। সমগ্র কর্মসূচির পরিকল্পনা, রূপায়ণ ও পরিচালনার দায়িত্বে ছিলেন ইংরেজি বিভাগের শিক্ষক ড. সুকান্ত রায়। তিনি শিক্ষার্থীরা কীভাবে “ধর্ম” ধারণাটিকে গভীর ও বহুমাত্রিকভাবে উপস্থাপন করেছে তা ব্যাখ্যা করেন।
ইংরেজি বিভাগের বিভাগীয় প্রধান ড. ক্যামেলিয়া বৈরাগ্য সহ বিভাগের অন্যান্য শিক্ষক শ্রী মৃগেন মণ্ডল, শ্রী বিদ্যুৎ মণ্ডল এবং ঐন্দ্রী চট্টরাজ শিক্ষার্থীদের এই অনুষ্ঠান পরিচালনায় সহায়তা করেন এবং তাঁদের উদ্যোগের প্রশংসা করেন। অন্যান্য বিভাগের শিক্ষক-শিক্ষিকারাও এই অভিনব প্রয়াসের ভূয়সী প্রশংসা করেন। বিভাগীয় এই উদ্যোগ শিক্ষার্থীদের সৃজনশীলতা, সমালোচনামূলক চিন্তাশক্তি ও বাস্তবজীবনভিত্তিক শিক্ষার ক্ষেত্রে এক গুরুত্বপূর্ণ পদক্ষেপ হিসেবে বিবেচিত হয়েছে।

The Department of Political Science of Turku Hansda Lapsa Hemram Mahavidyalay conducted a Study Tour Program at Ulpahari (Kalaipahari) village near Gonpur on 7/3/2026. The tour was in quest of the Traditional Governance System of the Santal Community. Under the guidance of departmental teachers along with a teacher of dept. of Santali of the college,17 students participated in the program. The survey focussed on the Traditional Governance System i.e Majhi Pargana System and how it differ from the modern Local Self Government. Majhibaba( headman of the village) and Naikibaba( priest of the village) were present in the program. The department interviewed them and got a vivid knowledge about their highly organised, democratic, hereditary governance and judicial system which is designed for social control. They emphasised also on village soliderity, it's degradation, ethnic entity etc.

গত ২১ শে ফেব্রুয়ারী, ২০২৬ টুরকু হাঁসদা লপসা হেমরম মহাবিদ্যালয়ে আন্তরিকতার সাথে পালিত হলো আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃভাষা দিবস। মহাবিদ্যালয়ের বাংলা বিভাগ, সাঁওতালি বিভাগ, সাংস্কৃতিক উপসমিতির পরিচালনায় ও আভ্যন্তরিন গুণমান নিশ্চয়করণ কেন্দ্রের সহযোগিতায় এই অনুষ্ঠান সম্পন্ন হয়। অনুষ্ঠানের আমন্ত্রিত বক্তা ছিলেন মহাবিদ্যালয়ের প্রাক্তন অধ্যক্ষ ড. অমিত কুমার চক্রবর্তী। জাতিসত্তা রক্ষায় মাতৃভাষার গুরুত্ব বিষয়ে এক মনোজ্ঞ আলোচনার সাক্ষী থাকেন সতেরোজন শিক্ষক শিক্ষিকা সহ বাহাত্তরজন ছাত্রছাত্রী। প্রশ্নোত্তর ও প্রতিক্রিয়ার আদান প্রদানের মাধ্যমে অনুষ্ঠান আরও প্রাণবন্ত হয়ে ওঠে। অনুষ্ঠানে উদ্বোধনী সঙ্গীত পরিবেশন করেন ড. রেবা দাস, বক্তব্য রাখেন অধ্যাপক বাবুচরণ রাভা, ড. নূর আপসার ও ড. গুরুচরণ মুরমু। বাংলা ও সাঁওতালি ভাষায় কবিতা বলেন কয়েকজন ছাত্রছাত্রী এবং সমস্ত অনুষ্ঠানটি সঞ্চালনায় ছিলেন ড. মোনালিসা ঘোষ।

Department of Political Science, Electoral Literacy Club and IQAC of Turku Hansda Lapsa Hemram Mahavidyalay successfully observed National Voters' Day on February 5, 2026 in collaboration with Block Development Office, Mayureswar 1. Honourable Principal,Dr. Himangshu Sekhar Maji presides over the seminar and delivered a relevant speech. The speakers were prof. Jayanta kumar Barman, the HOD, Dept of Political Science and the Student Co-ordinator of ELC and Dr. Monalisa Ghosh, faculty member of the same department and Nodal Officer of ELC. The discussion emphasised on the value of 'One Vote' and the responsibity of the young voters in a democratic parliamentary system. As the focussed audience of the seminar were the young voters, it seemed to be very significant before assembly election. The students, participated in the program were notably enthusiastic. The Seminar was followed by an interactive session. Some of the students share their understanging and experiences . 121 students and 12 esteemed faculty members of various departments were present in the seminar. The program was hosted by prof. Sanhita Samanta, the faculty member of Political Science and it was ended with vote of thanks by prof. Jayanta Kumar Barman.

Under the guidance of the department teachers, geography students of 3rd semester are conducting an instrumental survey.

The Department of Chemistry, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized a seminar and interactive session titled 'Shatavarin IV synergizes RTK in Neuromuscular Health' on January 31, 2026. Dr. Debasis Bagchi, South Texas University, delivered an expert talk on the Shatavari plant's role in modulating immunity and its potential utility as an anti-cancer agent. The event saw participation from faculty and students across different disciplines, who engaged in a productive exchange of ideas. Following the session, Dr. Manasi Bagchi and Dr. Debasis Bagchi visited our laboratories and expressed interest in collaborative research projects and future webinars. Notably, the event was reported in Anandabazar Patrika.
