Fluency is the ability to read a text accurately, quickly, and with expression.
Reading fluency is important because it provides a bridge between word recognition and reading comprehension. Since fluent readers don't have to concentrate on decoding the actual words, they can focus their attention on what the text actually means. That’s the reason the fluent readers generally learn the things faster than others. Speaking Skills depends upon the reading fluency. So, keeping this in view Dream India is taking an initiative for improving reading fluency of children with the help of a programme “SPEED READERS”.
