Some say that Cursive is no longer relevant as it isn't included in the common core standards but at DPIS we think cursive therefore,is vital to help students master the standards of written expression & critical thinking.Life skills that go well beyond the classroom.

Creative Writing Result of the Week (12-1-2019)
“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” ―Aristotle

The regular practice of creative writing at Delhi Public International School, Bikaner focuses on this very principle. This week the students of classes II and III wrote about their best friend while classes IV and V wrote about how they would utilize three wishes had they been granted those.

Here are a few snaps of their creative expressions.

Debate of the Week (12-01-2019)
Debate of the Week held on -Saturday (12/1/2019)

"A gender-equal society would be one where the word 'gender' does not exist: where everyone can be themselves."
— Gloria Steinem

Debates at Delhi Public International School always focus on hiring issues that ensure that our students are globally aware and form informed opinions after they have rattled their brains analysing both sides of the situation. This week's topic: ‘Should boys learn how to cook’, had students of classes IV and V discussing the importance of inculcating this very basic skill that is often looked at as a gender attribute.

The students articulation skills and their presence of mind makes us realised that students indeed can bring about changes in whatever sphere they want to only if they set their hearts to it.

On National Youth Day, as we remember the great Swami Vivekananda and how he inspired the youth of the nation to work for the betterment of the nation, we also take his vision up a notch to focus on a global human paradigm of equality. The contemporary society is global and today's youth needs to be armed with information, knowledge and skills to help them work for the enhancement of such a society.
Class IV won the debate:
Best Speakers were:
1. Kartik IV-A
2. Ishaan IV-A
3. Ujjwal IV-A
