AIC-CCMB has recently been selected as a SPARSH Centre by Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) a not-for-profit Section 8, Schedule B, Public Sector Enterprise, set up by Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India. The Social Innovation Immersion Program (SIIP), a component of SPARSH scheme, is BIRAC’s Social Innovation fellowship/award program aimed at creating a pool of healthcare “Social Innovators” who could identify the needs & gaps within communities and then can help bridge the gaps either through an innovative product development or services.

We are looking for a Social Innovation Associate to join our team who will help us in implementing and coordination of the key deliverables of the SPARSH Program. As part of the broader Brand, Impact and Insights team, the Social Innovation Associate will play a key role in implementing AIC-CCMB’s social innovation programs and partnerships with priority stakeholders (private sector, NGOs, government, foundations, etc.) as related to driving the social innovation agenda.
Main activities/responsibilities
• Support the delivery of AIC-CCMB SPARSH Program, which includes:
o Support the monitoring, managing and reporting the day-to-day activities of the program.
o To organize/manage different training programs for SPARSH Fellows start-ups, entrepreneurs including follow-up and taking feedback.
o Assist in the evaluation of early-stage business ideas, working with AIC-CCCM networks and external partners, conducting financial and social reporting
o Providing guidance and support to SPARSH Fellows to help them develop, adapt, test products/services
• Design and develop posters, infographics, presentations and other collateral.
• Develop and manage relationships with external organizations for the social immersion of the SPARSH Fellows.
• Assisting CEO for administration and of the program
• Any other work assignment as may be given by CEO.

Qualifications & experience
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working in social entrepreneurship NGO/corporate social responsibility or related field.
• Direct experience in an incubator facility / start-up will be an added bonus.
• B.Tech/Master’s degree in Life Sciences with MBA from a recognized university/Institution preferred.
• Proficiency in Graphic Design like Corel Draw/ Photoshop/ Dreamweaver or similar applications
• Working knowledge of HTML will be preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills. Overall pleasing interpersonal skills with a creative and curious bent, broad range of knowledge, self- motivation, and perseverance are must.

Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the following Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Govt. of India sponsored Research project entitled “Design and Development of ‘Fast Charging’ Next-Generation Battery System and its Advanced Electronic Diagnostics” (Reference no. SRG/2019/000194)

Project Summary: The key objective of the project is to develop high-capacity, high-energy, and fast charging battery systems based on novel cathode material and develop battery stacks from the cells. These battery stacks will be tested electrochemically/electrically at various stages of the individual cells and stacks to develop a state of charge (SoC) algorithm.

Principal Investigator: Dr. Sujith Kalluri

Eligibility: GATE/CSIR-UGC NET qualified B.Tech/M.Tech. graduates in Electronics Engineering/Nanotechnology/Electronic Materials Engineering. CSIR-UGC NET qualified M.Sc. graduates in Nanotechnology/Electronics will also be preferred.

Emoluments and Duration: Rs. 31,000 + HRA per month, duration: 2 years
