🚀 World Entrepreneurship Day 2026 Celebrated at Incubation Centre IIT Patna (IC IITP) | August 21, 2026

The Incubation Centre IIT Patna (IC IITP) celebrated World Entrepreneurship Day 2026 with great enthusiasm, bringing together students, faculty members, innovators, entrepreneurs, and members of the startup ecosystem to celebrate the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship.

The programme was graced by (Dr.) Prof. T. N. Singh, Hon’ble Director, IIT Patna, as the Chief Guest, along with Prof. Nitin Raja, Assistant Professor, Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, and Prof. Mahesh Kolekar, Head, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

The celebration began with the felicitation of the Hon’ble Director and distinguished dignitaries, followed by an insightful address by Dr. Pramod Kumar Tiwari, Professor-in-Charge, Incubation Centre IIT Patna. He highlighted the remarkable 10-year journey of the Incubation Centre, its growth, innovations, achievements, and continued efforts towards nurturing startups and strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

In his address, (Dr.) Prof. T. N. Singh highlighted the emerging opportunities in the Blue Economy and Green Economy, encouraging students, innovators, and startups to explore these promising sectors and develop technology-driven solutions for sustainable development.

The celebration served as an inspiring platform for aspiring entrepreneurs to learn, connect, and embrace the entrepreneurial journey. The event also reinforced the importance of innovation, calculated risk-taking, collaboration, and translating ideas into impactful and sustainable ventures.

A productive stakeholder engagement meeting with the Hon’ble Director, ICAR–National Research Centre for Litchi (ICAR-NRCL), Muzaffarpur, Bihar, as part of the SBI-LEAP–GramPro initiative. The initiative, funded by SBI Foundation and SBI payments, and implemented by Incubation Centre IIT Patna, aims to strengthen the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem by connecting research institutions, innovators and grassroots stakeholders.

The interaction offered valuable opportunities to explore potential collaborations around litchi, agri-innovation, technology development and value addition, further strengthening the bridge between research and entrepreneurship in Bihar.

"GramPro" team of Incubation Centre IIT Patna celebrated the 80th Independence Day.

The event was hosted by Incubation Centre IIT Patna (IC IITP) and graced with the presence of Startup Bihar Team, Govt. of Bihar, Mr. Joseph Paul Arackalan, General Manager, IC IITP, Dr. Pramod Kumar Tiwari, Prof. In-Charge & Secretary, IC IITP and microenterprise enthusiasts.

GramPro - SBI LEAP, is an initiative funded by SBI Foundation and SBI payments and is implemented by Incubation Centre IIT Patna. It is aimed at helping 100 microenterprises of Bihar in the field of "natural products" and "eco-services" by their digital enablement and technical value addition.

With this structured program "GramPro" shall deliver capacity building, meaningful impact and financial improvement in the lives of 1000+ women, youth and marginalised communities of Bihar.

🤝 Strengthening Healthcare Innovation Through Collaboration

Incubation Centre IIT Patna (IC IIT Patna) has been signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NSMCH, Patna, marking an important step towards fostering collaboration in healthcare innovation, research, technology development, and entrepreneurship.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Professor-in-Charge, Incubation Centre IIT Patna, Dr. (Prof.) P. K. Tiwari, and Dr. Swarnima Singh, Member Secretary, Clinical Research Ethics Committee & Sub Dean (A&R), NSMCH, Patna.

Through this collaboration, both institutions aim to explore and strengthen opportunities in:
