On this propitious occasion of Teachers’ Day, it was an ineffable privilege to pay homage to the venerable custodians of knowledge at IGNOU, Nalanda. The morning unfolded with cordial felicitations extended to Dr. Ratnesh Aman, the erudite Coordinator, and Shri Goyal Sir, the indefatigable Assistant Coordinator, whose sagacity and guidance continue to illumine the academic firmament.

The day’s highlight was the gracious interaction with our esteemed Principal, whose warm recognition — ‘Aap toh STC Vidyaashram waale hain na!’ — rekindled a sense of belonging and institutional pride. These fleeting yet profound encounters are more than ceremonial courtesies; they are reaffirmations of the eternal guru–shishya parampara that anchors our educational ethos.

May this day remind us that while edifices crumble and calendars fade, the indelible legacy of our mentors remains an eternal lighthouse for generations yet unborn.

"Operation Sindoor" is a significant military operation launched by India on May 6, 2025, targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir. The operation was a response to the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, 2025, which resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians, including 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali tourist .

Key Details of Operation Sindoor

Objective: To neutralize terrorist camps and dismantle logistical and training infrastructure used by anti-India militant outfits, particularly those linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed.

Ex*****on: The operation commenced at 1:44 AM IST on May 7, 2025, involving coordinated efforts by the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy. Precision air and missile strikes were carried out using advanced weaponry, including Rafale jets armed with SCALP missiles and AASM Hammer bombs .

Targets: Nine key locations were struck, including Muridke (Lashkar-e-Taiba headquarters), Bahawalpur (linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed leadership), Muzaffarabad, Kotli, Sialkot, and other areas in Pakistan-administered Kashmir .

Outcome: According to Indian sources, over 80 terrorists were killed in the strikes . Pakistan reported civilian casualties, including the death of a child, and condemned the attacks as an "act of war" . The operation has led to heightened tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors, with international calls for restraint.
