We are delighted to share that under the prestigious SCOUT (Student Career Opportunities Through Internationalization) Programme, sponsored by the Government of Karnataka in collaboration with the University of Wolverhampton, UK, two students from Karnatak Arts, Science and Commerce College, Bidar have been selected to participate in this transformative international initiative.

The official Flag-Off Ceremony was held today at the iconic Vidhan Soudha, Bengaluru, where students were blessed and encouraged by Sri D. K. Shivakumar, Hon'ble Chief Minister, Government of Karnataka, who conveyed his best wishes to all participants embarking on this global academic journey.

In accordance with the guidelines of RGUHS , Smt. Saraswati Gurupadappa Nagmarpalli College of Nursing and Maa Vishwapalini school of nursing Bidar in association with SDM college of Naturopathy and yogic sciences along with Dishabodh foundation, celebrated the 12th International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm and active participation from students . The theme for 12th international yoga day is "Yoga for Healthy Ageing" .

The inaugural program was conducted in the pariksha bhawan pharmacy campus in the presence of the secretary Mr. Satish Patil ,Principal Mr. Santosh soma , vice principal Mrs. Elisheba , faculty members, and students. The significance of yoga in maintaining a healthy body and mind was highlighted, and participants were encouraged to practice yoga regularly for holistic wellness.

The celebration was preceded by a 10-day Yoga Camp, inaugurated on 12th June 2026 by Mr.Satish patil secretary of KRE society, to promote physical fitness, mental well-being, and the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life.

On 21st June 2026, International Yoga Day was celebrated with a mass yoga demonstration where students of BSc nursing lst , lllrd, lVth ,Vllth semester as well as 1st, 2nd, 3rd year GNM nursing and faculty members performed the Common Yoga Protocol. The event emphasized the theme of promoting a healthy lifestyle through yoga and creating awareness about its benefits among the younger generation.

As a token of gratitude and appreciation, the college organized a felicitation ceremony to honor the valuable contributions of the Secretary , Principal , and Yoga Masters Mr. Jo and Mr. Surya who guided and supported the successful conduct of the 10-day Yoga Camp . Their dedication and encouragement inspired students to embrace yoga as a pathway to a healthier and more balanced life."
"The dignitaries were felicitated with shawl and garland in recognition of their unwavering support and commitment to promoting health, wellness, and holistic development among students."
The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks to the Secretary, Principal, Yoga Masters, faculty members, students, and all those who contributed to the successful organization of the day.

Karnataka Arts, Science & Commerce College, Bidar, under the aegis of Karnataka Rashtriya Education Society (KRE Society), Bidar, successfully celebrated World Environment Day 2026 with great enthusiasm and environmental commitment.

The programme was organized by the Department of Botany & Zoology in coordination with the Phyton Club, embracing the global theme:

A special highlight of the event was the release of the book โ€œDocumentation of Medicinal Plants of the Botanical Garden (Sasodhyana), Bidar District, Karnataka, India,โ€ an important contribution towards documenting and preserving the rich medicinal plant diversity of the region. The publication is expected to serve as a valuable reference for students, researchers, academicians, and nature lovers.

๐ŸŒฑ World Environment Day 2026 Celebration at SGN College of Nursing & Maa Vishwapalani School of Nursing, Bidar ๐ŸŒ

In alignment with the vision of KRE Societyโ€™s Saraswati Gurupadappa Nagmarpalli College of Nursing and Maa Vishwapalani School of Nursing, Bidar, World Environment Day was celebrated on 5th June 2026 with the inspiring theme:

โ€œInspired by Nature. For Climate. For Future.โ€

The event was graced by Shri Muniyappa T., Principal, R.V. Bidap Law College, Bidar, as the Chief Guest. The program was presided over by Mr. Santosh Soma, Principal, SGN College of Nursing, with Mrs. Elisheba D., Vice Principal, serving as the Event Advisor. Faculty members Mr. Sachin G.K., Ms. Diana, Ms. Pooja, and Mr. Sachidananda were also present.

The program commenced with a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, dignitaries, faculty members, and students. As a symbolic gesture of environmental stewardship, the dignitaries planted the first sapling, reaffirming our collective commitment to nurturing and protecting nature. The Chief Guest delivered an inspiring address highlighting the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable living.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of B.Sc. Nursing V & VII Semester and GNM I Year, who actively engaged in various green initiatives. A special appreciation to Aminika (B.Sc. Nursing V Semester) for generously donating a sapling to the college.

Adding a creative touch to the celebration, students presented an impactful skit portraying โ€œMother Earthโ€ and the โ€œDeforestation Monster,โ€ effectively conveying the urgent need for environmental conservation. Sukanya (B.Sc. Nursing VII Semester) delivered an inspiring speech on Salumarada Thimmakka, encouraging everyone to carry forward her remarkable legacy of environmental service.

The program was gracefully anchored by Shreya and Sanjeevni of B.Sc. Nursing V Semester, and concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Deenarani (V Semester).
