Happy to welcome Shri Suman Kumar Bery, Hon’ble Vice-Chairman, NITI Aayog, and Dr Arvind Virmani, Hon’ble Member, NITI Aayog, to KISS and KIIT. They walked through the campus, met our students, and saw closely how education, discipline, sports, and community life come together at KISS.

They were here for the one-day national seminar on KISS and the Sustainable Development Goals. I was touched by their appreciation of the KISS model and the way our children grow with responsibility towards society. Such visits encourage us to continue our work with greater sincerity and purpose, keeping education and service at the centre of nation-building.

It was a pleasure to meet and interact with over 40 teachers and monks from primary to higher education institutions, from the Department of School Education, Ministry of Education and Skills Development, Royal Government of Bhutan, who visited KIIT & KISS under the IndiaTrek initiative.

They spent time on our campuses, interacted closely with our students and educators, and saw how education, values, discipline, culture, and sports come together in the KISS model. Their appreciation of our work was heartening. Such exchanges build mutual understanding and remind us that education, rooted in values, has the power to connect societies and strengthen friendships beyond borders.

At the Jaipur Literature Festival 2026, a platform that celebrates ideas and stories, I felt happy to release two books that are very close to my heart.

Art of Giving – A Way of Life, published by Rupa Publications, carries a thought that has guided my journey for years — that giving must become a habit, not an occasion.

The second book, a special edition by Amar Chitra Katha (Chandamama Stories), presents the KISS story in a colourful comic form. It highlights the lives, cultures, and achievements of KISS students, turning their real journeys into simple and engaging graphic stories.

Both books carry the same message in different ways —that education, dignity, and compassion can quietly change lives.

Happy to share that KIIT has been conferred the National Ranking Award 2026 for Best Institution for Overall Sports Infrastructure at the Global Sports Education Convention (G-SEC) 2026, held at the India International Centre, New Delhi. The award, instituted by CSRI in association with SAAB and supported by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, was received on behalf of KIIT by our representative.
This recognition reflects our long-standing effort to build strong sports infrastructure and an athlete-centred ecosystem where education, discipline, and sports grow together.

Happy to attend a thoughtful session at the Jaipur Literature Festival on the role of education in an unequal society, along with Shri Sajjan Singh Yadav, IAS, and Shri Navdeep Suri, former diplomat, who moderated the conversation.

We reflected on how education must go beyond classrooms to create dignity, opportunity, and social mobility. I am glad to be part of this meaningful conversation on learning, equality, and responsibility at the Jaipur Literature Festival.

70th Honorary Causa.
Humbled to receive my 70th Honorary Causa from JECRC University, Jaipur, during its 9th Convocation Ceremony today. My heartfelt thanks to the university for this honour and for recognising my work in the field of education and social empowerment. I also convey my sincere thanks to its Chairperson, Shri O. P. Agrawal, for the respect and warmth.

Whatever little I have been able to do has come from hard work, discipline, and faith in education as a force for change. I accept this honour with gratitude and a sense of responsibility to continue serving society through education and values. This recognition belongs equally to my well-wishers, my lovable KIITians and KISSians, and the entire KIIT–KISS family who have walked this journey together.

Honoured to accept the role of Patron of the Volleyball Federation of India. Grateful to the President, General Secretary, and all members of VFI, along with the Odisha Volleyball Association, for their trust and goodwill. Volleyball has been close to my heart for many years, and whatever little I have been able to do has always been with the aim of strengthening the sport, especially at the grassroots.

I am thankful for the encouragement shown by VFI, including their kind words regarding my association with the FIVB and the honour of the Grand Cross Award. I will continue to work with greater commitment for the growth and promotion of volleyball in Odisha and across India, and to support young players so that Indian volleyball moves forward with confidence and purpose.
