SAI Angan - India’s largest playschool
SAI Angan, an initiative of SAI International is a new concept in learning to unfold experiential learning through each of its classroom that is synonymous with all the elements of the best playschools of global standards. The playschool with a total area of 1, 50,000 square feet is India’s largest with a capacity of 1500 students in the age group of 2 to 7 years and is a trendsetter in Early Childhood Education. The playschool aims to provide the much desired 360 degree learning experience onto each child inspiring them to be learners with a permanence and quality. Serving as platforms of self discovery the learning areas ignite innate curiosity within each child and synergized by the extremely competent faculty who are specially trained for the early group learners. The playschool promises to be a hub of well planned activities that will enable, empower and encourage the young learners towards thinking rationally, motivating them to ask questions and endowing them with purposeful learning. SAI Angan follows the learning and growing through “Multiple Sensory” approach and at the core of their philosophy is the recognition that kids can think and learn differently and that intelligence can be expressed in a multitude of ways. Our multi-faceted approach to teaching incorporates each of the eight major intellectual domains, and provides opportunities for each student to use his/her unique intelligence to understand the subject matter. In addition, the multi-sensory approach helps students understand their strengths and challenges. By using multi-sensory approach as a tool, students learn to use strengths to acquire new information and work on fully developing their knowledge in areas that are a challenge for them. Concrete research reveals that environmental stimulation during early periods of life is critical for normal development of a child’s brain. It is therefore important to introduce children by 5 years of age to a stimulating place that allows them to act and think. A child’s relationship with his/her caregiver is an important aspect of his/her environment and is also related to behavioral and neurological development. We therefore have a qualified team of teachers who with their motherly affection and care pave way for a wholesome learning at the same time instilling security in the minds of the tiny tots. The playschool unravels the amazing wonder world of Disney and makes it come alive in the city of Bhubaneswar. The highlights of the school include 50,000 square feet of Play area, 2000 square feet of Swimming pool, Toy train to move around during school hours, Amphitheatre, Sand pit, Play Stations having 30 options to enforce learning by the play-way method, Activity rooms, Music, Art and Computer labs, Auditorium and a Gymnasium. A fully air conditioned crèche facility for 200 children is yet another significant highlight of the school. The crèche at SAI Angan is an extended warm cocoon of love and affection. It follows a structured curriculum that includes plenty of time for physical activity, personal grooming time (including daily storybook sessions for groups and individuals), group activities, individual activities, meals, and rest. After his successful endeavors of launching SAI International School and SAI International College of Commerce that have been instrumental in changing the education firmament of eastern India, SAI Angan is yet another initiative by the pioneering CA Dr. Bijoy K Sahoo. It is a further integration of SAI International School that recently was ranked as the Number 6 School of the Country and No. 1 School of Odisha by Education World India School Rankings 2015. Owing to the International standards of the school, it was also conferred upon the prestigious International School Award 2014 - 2017 by the British Council, UK. For ideating this playschool Dr. Sahoo took a special training at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, USA. He is extremely confident that the children in the age group of 2 to 7 years will be more evolved and acquire prolific advancements through the progressive teaching-learning methods and research techniques which will be applied at SAI Angan.
