The FIVB–KIIT–KISS Centre of Excellence for Volleyball has been elevated to an International Centre of Excellence (ICoE) by FIVB, emerging as a global hub for Volleyball and Beach Volleyball development.

The announcement was made by Dr. Fabio Azevedo, Hon'ble President of FIVB, at the FIVB Headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland. This prestigious recognition reflects the visionary leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Achyuta Samanta, Hon'ble Founder of KIIT, KISS & KIMS, and the world-class sports ecosystem nurtured at KIIT and KISS.

From empowering more than 40,000 tribal children through quality education and holistic care to creating internationally acclaimed sports infrastructure, the extraordinary journey of Prof. Samanta continues to inspire people across the globe.

Today, that vision has earned global recognition with the elevation of the FIVB–KIIT–KISS Centre of Excellence to an International Centre of Excellence for Volleyball and Beach Volleyball, reinforcing KIIT and KISS as global leaders in sports development, excellence and social transformation.

's ace sprinter Animesh Kujur secured medal 🥈 in Men’s 200M Run clocking 20.47s at the New Taipei City Athletics Championships 2026. With this performance he also qualified for the Commonwealth Games 2026.

Very happy to meet our KIIT athletes today. They came to share their medals and trophies after their wonderful performance at the 72nd State Senior Athletics Championship 2026 held at Cuttack.

I feel proud that our athletes became Champions in the Girls U-20 and Girls U-23 categories, secured the Overall Championship Runners-Up Trophy, and won 33 medals — 16 Gold, 10 Silver and 7 Bronze. They also created 6 New Meet Records.

My heartiest congratulations to all the medal winners, record holders, coaches and support staff. Special appreciation to Shri Sanjay Garnaik, a renowned athletics coach, and the entire athletics team for their sincere efforts.

Happy to share that KIIT & KISS have been recognised by the FIT India Movement as Model Campuses for the Vehicle-Free Campus Initiative and have been felicitated with the FERN Award.

This recognition is a matter of immense pride and happiness for the entire KIIT and KISS family.
