Hon'ble Minister for Sports & Industries, Government of Bihar, Ms. Shreyasi Singh, visited KIIT & KISS and appreciated the institutions' world-class sports ecosystem and the upcoming KIIT-KISS Shooting Range, highlighting its potential to nurture future shooting champions.

She lauded the visionary leadership of Prof. Achyuta Samanta in transforming KIIT & KISS into globally recognised centres of excellence in sports and education. The visit concluded with meaningful discussions on athlete development, sports education, inter-state collaboration, and strengthening India's sporting future.

Heartiest congratulations to Murali Sreeshankar from KIIT University on winning the Silver Medal in the Men’s Long Jump at the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow with a remarkable jump of 8.09 metres.

A champion’s comeback is defined by resilience, determination, and unwavering spirit. Winning a medal at the highest level after returning from injury is a truly inspiring achievement.

This marks his second consecutive Commonwealth Games silver medal, following his success at Birmingham 2022. His journey is a powerful reminder that perseverance always triumphs.

He has made India and the entire KIIT University family immensely proud.
