Proud to share, Swayam Mishra, our student at the School Of Computer Engineering, KIIT, and a member of Google Developer Groups (GDG) on Campus KIIT, has secured 1st prize at the prestigious Build India Hackathon held in Bengaluru.
Organized by Anthropic, Replit, and Lightspeed Venture Partners, the hackathon focused on developing AI-native solutions to address real-world challenges in India through rapid prototyping and innovative applications. He bagged prizes worth $16,500, along with an internship opportunity and a Pre-Placement Offer (PPO).
We congratulate him and wish him continued success in all his future endeavours.

The School of Computer Engineering, KIIT Deemed to be University, proudly congratulates Sriram Tripathy, a 6th Semester CSE student, on his outstanding achievement.
He secured the Gold Medal (1st Position) along with certificates at the Wushu State Championship 2025–26 under the Sanda Combat category, held on 24th–25th January 2026. The event witnessed participation from 350+ athletes representing 21 districts of
Odisha and was organized by the Wushu Association, Khurda.
We are proud of his dedication, discipline, and excellence, which bring great honor to the institution.

Pritam Chakraborty, a full-time PhD research scholar at KIIT Deemed to be University under the prestigious MeitY Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme, has been selected for a 6-month Foreign Lab Visit at Queen’s University Belfast, UK, sponsored by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India.
This is a significant milestone as Pritam Chakraborty from KIIT Deemed to be University has received the first Foreign Lab Visit opportunity among scholars from universities across India under the Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme. This achievement highlights the growing research excellence and global academic collaboration of KIIT University.
Pritam Chakraborty is pursuing his research under the guidance of Dr. Anjan Bandyopadhyay, Associate Professor, School of Computer Engineering, KIIT Deemed to be University.
During this visit, he will collaborate with researchers at Queen’s University Belfast, gaining international research exposure and contributing to advanced scientific research.
He has already demonstrated excellent research performance with 3 SCI-indexed journal publications and 2 top-tier conference papers.
This achievement reflects the strong research ecosystem at KIIT Deemed to be University and its commitment to nurturing world-class researchers and global collaborations.

Proud Achievement for the School of Computer Engineering, KIIT!
Priyanshu De, an active member of GDG On-Campus KIIT and a student of the
School of Computer Engineering, KIIT, has made the institution proud with his remarkable performance in Web Technologies.
He secured Gold at the Odisha State Skill Competition in the Web Technologies category. He then represented the state at the IndiaSkills East Regional Competition, held from 27th February to 2nd March at Skill Development Institute Bhubaneswar, where he won Silver, along with a medal, certificate, and prize money of ₹50,000.
With this outstanding achievement, Priyanshu has qualified to represent Odisha at the IndiaSkills National Competition, which will be held in New Delhi from 27th March to 5th April.
The School of Computer Engineering congratulates Priyanshu on this exceptional accomplishment and wishes him the very best for the national finals!

It was a pleasure to welcome Debabrata Kar (Dev), an alumnus and former Coordinator of Korus Society, KSAC, during KIIT Fest 9.0.
Currently a Business Fin-Tech Advisor at HighRadius, he interacted with his juniors and shared insights from his professional journey. He was warmly welcomed by the School of Computer Science Engineering and also visited the KIIT Alumni Cell.

School of Computer Engineering takes immense pride in sharing that Piyush Agrawal (Roll No. 23053436), a committed volunteer of the NSS SCE Unit, had the honour of representing Odisha at the National Integration Camp organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.
Showcasing exceptional talent at the national level, Team Odisha secured positions in many Competition. The achievement was further marked by the opportunity to meet and be felicitated by Hon’ble Smt. Raksha Khadse, Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports.
