Mancheswar Workshop

Mancheswar Workshop had a phenomenal year 2015-16 and achieved HIGHEST EVER , BEST EVER performances in almost all the activities. Some of them are recorded below:-
BEST EVER POH PERFORMANCE :- MCSW has turned out 1600+ POHed coaches and recorded an impossible increase of more than 53% over last three years.
BEST EVER IOH PERFORMANCE :- MCSW recorded highest ever IOH outturn during 2015-16 and recorded an almost impossible increase of 37% over last three years.
BEST EVER QUALITY PERFORMANCE :- MCSW has drastically reduced 100 days failures by continual improvement in work practices, training to staff and material input. there is almost 74% reduction in 100 days failure over last three years.
OTHER MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS :-
WHEEL PRODUCTION :- There has been increase of more than 45% in wheel production over last three years and produced more than12650 wheels in 2015-16.
BOGIE PRODUCTION :- In 2015-16 MCSW had produced more than 400 bogies in a month and recorded an increase of more than 42% over last three years.

MCSW is only workshop over IR to have ISO 9001 , ISO 14001 , OHSAS 18001 & 5 S certification. Now MCSW is working towars ISO50000 for energy management.

MCSW is most productive workshop over IR as per Railway Board data.

MCSW has achieved BIO-TOILET fitment target given by Railway Board in 2015-16.

MCSW is going to have solar generation plant of 650KW in near future.

MCSW is going to have 2nd workshop over IR to have Bio-Toilet anaerobic bacteria generation plant.

in Total 2015-16 was a very satisfying year for Mancheswar Workshop and this could only be achieved through continuous and hard work of our staff , Supervisors , officers and their families.

I once again congratulate you all for the outstanding work and efforts during 2015-16 and hope same would be continuing in 2016-17 too.

Few glimpses of AGM/ECoR's visit of Mancheswar Workshop on 03.02.16. AGM/ECoR Shri B.N.Mohapatro was first Accounts Officer of Mancheswar Workshop. He was posted as JAO on 12.12.1984.

Republic Day 2016 was celebrated with full enthusiasm at Mancheswar Sports Complex. Awards were given to staff & supervisors for outstanding work done during 2015-16. A colourful Cultural programme was also organised and students of Oriya School & Bharat Scouts & Guide participated with full zeal & josh....

On this auspicious day Mancheswar Workshop has completed 32 years of operation and today Mancheswar Workshop has also created history and achieved a milestone never achieved before by dispatching 151 POH coaches in a month including 25 AC coaches.
This year we have also dispatched 25000th overhauled Coach .

Mancheswar Workshop is the most productive workshop over Indian Railways and successfully overhauled 151 coaches with just 2000 staff strength. The entire credit goes to TEAM MANCHESWAR which includes all staff, Supervisos , Officers and family members.

GREEN INITIATIVES COMPLEX at Mancheswar Workshop was inaugurated by Shri Rajiv Vishnoi , General Manager , East Coast Railway on 23/11/15.
This complex has
1. 30 KL/DAY EFFLUENT TREATMENT PLANT
2. STORAGE FACILITY FOR BIO TOILET TANKS
3. BACTERIA GENERATION FACILITY BIO DIGESTER TANK (Sanctioned, to be constructed).
4. SOLAR PANEL FOR GENERATION OF GREEN ENERGY (Planned, to be commissioned).

Mock Drill on fire safety , site protection , evacuation & rescue was conducted on 06/10/2015. All the three teams Combat , Rescue & Auxiliary along with RPF team has displayed great enthusiasm and effortlessly conducted the mock drill .

69th Independence day celebration at Carriage Repair Workshop , Mancheswar , East Coast Railway. Independence day was celebrated with full zeal and enthusiasm. National flag was hoisted by Shri S.K.Pankaj , Chief Workshop Manager , Mancheswar Workshop followed by March past and his address to workshop staff and families.
