Justice N. Santosh Hegde, Former Judge of the Supreme Court of India and former Lokayukta of Karnataka, lauded the generous dedication and remarkable contributions of Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT and KISS, towards humanity and the upliftment of society.

Sharing his impressions, Justice Hegde stated that in his lifetime, he has visited 1,861 institutions, yet had never seen anything like KIIT. He praised the exceptional educational infrastructure, cleanliness, and discipline maintained across the campuses.

He also noted that KISS, Deemed to be University—the higher education wing of the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences—is the only university in the world exclusively for indigenous scholars. Students here pursue their research in a world-class residential campus with all facilities provided entirely free of cost.

As a mark of respect and admiration, Justice Hegde presented Dr. Samanta with the Atlas of Greek Philosophy, adding that Dr. Samanta himself is akin to this Atlas—carrying the weight of service, wisdom, and upliftment for humanity.
