The data on Odisha shows a clear picture of the failure of the economic-political system in the state to secure a decent life for the Odia people. BIBARTAN with the support of Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung, Germany organised a two day meeting on "the working class movement in Odisha" at Redcross Bhawan, Bhubaneswar, Odisha on 30th and 31st October to deliberate upon the challenges that footloosness, which the pro corporate economic processes have perpetuated, poses for the working class movement. Activists researchers associated with various local organisations presented the results of their inquiries into everyday struggles of informal and precarious workers. These presentations were discussed to trace organisational and campaign possibilities in the state. The discussion focussed mainly on migrant, construction, rural, and women labour.

On dated 09/10/2015 a rally and agitation programme was organised by LokaMuktiSangathan to withdraw liquor shop from Bamphei village of Bamara Block.Around 200 women workers participated in the rally. The rally started from PWD bungalow Bamara to Block office Bamra. After rally mass meeting was organised at in front of block office and memorandum submitted to BDO demanding withdraw of liquor shop from the village.

A leadership Development Workshop For Rural Workers is organised by BIBARTAN and Shramajibi Vichar Kendra Odisha at Kalinga Vihar, Bhubaneswar on 24th and 25th September, 2015. 26 labopur activists and organisers including 9 women activists from 9 districts of Odisha have participated in the workshop.

A ralley of 200 representatives of landless families organised by Shramajibi Chetana Sangathan and Khet Mazdoor Union on 11th September, 2015 at Daspalla. The people staged ralley infront of Daspalla Tehsil Office Nayagarh district and submitted 195 applications for land settlement.
