A research project titled “Tele-MANAS Services to Older Adults – Whether the Coprime-Integer of Emotional Isolation and Family-Solidarity in India – An Empirical Study with Special Reference to Service Sectors ” by Dr Soma Parija (PD) and Dr Ragini Bahadur (co-PD), Department of Psychology, School of Liberal Studies has been sanctioned by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR).

Under the theme of “Soiree”, the Department of Psychology, School of Liberal Studies, KIIT, on 2nd April 2026, bid a colorful yet teary eyed by-byes during the farewell ceremony for the Graduating Batch of 2026. 👩‍🎓🧑‍🎓🌷🪷✨🌟
Here are some glimpses of joy, sorrow and the goodbyes! Music, dance performances and deeply cherished moments were the key highlights. Students shared their sweet memories of classrooms, assignments and ofcourse the examination journey! We are never parting ways and that is for sure!

The Art Competition💕🔮⚱️🩻🎊🪅🎀🎏🎈🎁🎎🪭 , as part of the “Kognatia” (28.03.2026), was successfully conducted on the theme “Healing Through Mental Illness,” witnessing enthusiastic participation from a total of 32 students. The event provided a creative platform for participants to express their understanding and perspectives on mental health, healing, and emotional resilience through art. Students from various departments of KIIT University actively took part in the competition, along with participants from Ravenshaw University and Christ College, reflecting a diverse and vibrant representation.

The artworks were evaluated based on thematic interpretation, creativity, visual impact, and effective use of colors. After careful assessment, the First Prize was awarded to Sohini Pandit from KIIT University for her outstanding and impactful artwork. The Second Prize was secured by a participant from Ravenshaw University for their commendable presentation.

Overall, the competition was a great success, promoting awareness and encouraging meaningful conversations around mental health through artistic expression.

“Kognatia”, a celebration, a carnival and a joyous event was organized by the Department of Psychology, School of Liberal Studies, on 28.03.2026; marked by enthusiastic participation of students from KSLS KIIT, Christ College, Ravenshaw University, Cuttack, and Utkal University. One of the most engaging highlights of the event was the Psychology Jeopardy, which witnessed intense competition, quick thinking, and impressive knowledge from all participating teams. The event brought together bright minds who demonstrated remarkable grasp over psychological concepts in a dynamic and competitive format.😎🎃🤖👩‍🎓🧑‍🎓

The First Prize in Psychology Jeopardy was secured by The Ossicles from Ravenshaw University, Cuttack, while the Second Prize was claimed by The Satan Complex from Christ University!!!🥰😍🥰

The Jeopardy quiz was coordinated and led by our MA Psychology student, Mr Arman Mishra!
