Prof. Arvind Tripathy, Dean, KIIT School of Management - KSOM, shared his insights at the 6th International Conference on Management Research. He emphasized that the world is becoming increasingly complex and dynamic, making it crucial to revisit management theories developed over the years and assess their relevance in addressing the challenges of today’s evolving business landscape. He also highlighted how KSOM is committed to fostering strong collaboration between academia and industry.

Prof. Mohar Banerjee Biswas, Professor at KIIT School of Management - KSOM, highlights the distinctive features of the BBA program, emphasizing experiential learning through case studies, simulations, real-world business data, extensive industry collaboration, and hands-on projects that equip students with practical knowledge and leadership skills.

With over 12 years of corporate experience at IBM, Prof. Biswas has worked across diverse domains, including Web Technology, Siebel CRM, Software Quality, and SAP. She has successfully led multiple assignments in the USA and served as a Business Analyst for clients across industries such as electronics and pharmaceuticals. She has also been an integral part of IBM's technical recruitment team.

Her areas of interest include Web Technology, SAP, Data Warehousing and Business Analysis. She strongly believes in the Right to Education for all and that the right education is the way forward to eradicate a lot of problems being faced today.

During the 6th International Conference on Management Research, Mr. Joydeep Roy, Managing Director - HR at PwC India, emphasized the significance of effective organizational design and leadership in enhancing employee engagement and fostering productive workplaces.

Lisa Chissano, an international BBA student from Mozambique at KIIT School of Management - KSOM, shares her experience of studying in a diverse and dynamic learning environment. She credits the strong academic curriculum, practical learning approach, and valuable exposure for making her journey enriching both academically and personally.

Prof. Arvind Tripathy, Dean MBA & Associate Professor, KIIT School of Management - KSOM, shares insights into the BBA program, highlighting how it goes beyond academics by focusing on holistic personality development and preparing students for future professional challenges.

Prof. Tripathy is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (FDP program 2013) and has associated with KSOM since 2008. He has 25 years of experience consisting of 7 years of corporate experience and 18 years in academics. He was associated with the advertising industry in Mumbai and Bangalore and media services in IT Training, Kolkata.

Apart from his teaching assignments, he is actively involved in MDPs in organizations like SIDBI (Small Industries Development Bank of India), IDBI Bank, Mahanadi Coal Fields and in-house training programs of All India Radio & Doordarshan Kendra. He has served as a marketing consultant for ‘Capacity Enhancing’ program for the craftsman and handicrafts trading societies from Odisha organized by Trade Kraft UK and IRFT Mumbai. He is also involved in projects from Indian Council of Social Science Research, New Delhi (MoE, Govt. of India) in social sector as Co-Project Investigator.

Dr. Kajri Misra, Dean, School of Human Settlements, XIM University, and a distinguished academic leader, spoke on the topic, “The Relevance of Management Classics in an AI-Native World: What Should MBA Curricula Keep, Drop, and Reinvent?”

She emphasized that organizations are evolving rapidly, and students must evolve with them. They need to be equipped not only to adapt to new organizational structures and dynamic work environments, but also for emerging roles that may not yet exist. In an AI-driven era, where data and analysis can be processed instantly, students must develop critical thinking, reflective learning, and effective decision-making skills to thrive in a fast-changing professional landscape.
