Our School:
St Mary’s Little Steps was founded in 1994, by Mrs. Jasbir Kaur with a vision to provide a strong foundation level education in a stress-free environment. Children find it difficult to take their first steps into an educational institution, away from the comforts of home. St Mary’s Little Steps was started with the aim of making this transition easier and to help the child look forward to a home away from home. Jasbir Kaur is a pioneer in children’s education and has has spearheaded the school’s operations since 1994. Armed with a B.A, B.Ed degree (India) and special training in the Montessori method of education (USA), Mrs Kaur has had over 35 years of teaching experience, specialising in pre-school education. Mrs Kaur has taught at the Montfort School, Dhenkanal, Ruchika School , Bhubaneswar and until recently was the Director- Academics at St Xavier’s International School, Bhubaneshwar. Children teach themselves, it’s a simple but profound truth. The Montessori and play-way method is a child-centered, educational method based on the child development theories originated by Italian educator Maria Montessori . It places emphasis on self-directed activity on the part of the child, and clinical observation on the part of the teacher, stressing the importance of adapting the child’s learning environment to his or her development level, and the role of physical activity in the child’s absorbing concepts and learning practical skills. Mary’s Little Steps has perfected this technique over the years and we are proud to have helped shape the personalities and aid all-round development of over 1000 children. Our Students:

Contributing to the overall development of our children, we have co-curricular activities which include Art, Music, Dance Yoga and value education. Outings form an integral part of learning at St Mary’s Little Steps . The School organizes many trips, on an average of one each term. The places are selected keeping in mind the young child's need to learn through exploration. Our Classes and Timings:
Toddler classes: Children below 2 years
M-I: Children between 2.5 years to 3.5 years
M-II: Children between 3.5 years to 4.5 years
M-III: Children between 3.5 years to 4.5 years
All classes are held between 10:00 a.m. from Monday to Friday . Saturday and Sunday are holidays.
