2. Obscured aorto-pulmonary window

Thorasic Trauma
Cardiac Box: Danger Zone for penetrating Mediastinal injury.
Contains, Great vessels (veins and arteries) Airways (trachea and bronchuses) and the Heart. Parts of liver, pancreas and spleen are also present in this region.
Anatomical Boundary
Anterior Cardiac Box
Superiorly: Clavicle
Laterally: Ni**le Linr
Inferiorly: Costal Margins
Contrary few textbooks follow this anatomical boundary: midclavicular lines laterally, the clavicles superiorly, and the xiphoid process inferiorly.
Posterior Cardiac Box
Superior β Top of scapula
Lateral - Medial to scapula
Inferior - Above costal margins
