Dr. Vidyasri Khadanga and Dr. Hullash Chauhan, two of our Ph.D. scholars, have been awarded the prestigious 𝐀𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐄 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐃𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 (𝐀𝐏𝐃𝐅). They are among the 200 selected doctoral candidates across India, marking a significant academic milestone.

Notably, they are the first Postdoctoral Fellows from KIIT Deemed to be University, and among all private universities in the entire eastern zone, to achieve this distinction.

Team Mechanical extends heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Khadanga and Dr. Chauhan for this remarkable accomplishment.

The School of Mechanical Engineering, KIIT, was delighted to host Prof. Subrata Kumar Ghosh from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad.

During his visit, Prof. Ghosh toured our advanced research laboratories, gaining firsthand insights into our state-of-the-art infrastructure, high-end characterization capabilities, and ongoing experimental setups. The School of Mechanical Engineering remains dedicated to building robust academic networks that empower our faculties and researchers.

Team Mechanical absolutely thrilled to welcome back our distinguished alumni, Er. Gopal Krushna Das (Deputy Commissioner Transport, Southern Zone, Commerce & Transport Dept. Govt. of Odisha) and Er. Sarada Jena, AVP - Sales & Marketing, Kribaga Realty (2004 Batch), to their alma mater!

It was an incredible moment of nostalgia as they toured the campus, visited the advanced labs, and interacted with the faculty. Seeing our alumni lead with distinction in public service and industry is a matter of immense pride for the entire School.

The School of Mechanical Engineering at KIIT-DU is proud to announce a significant academic milestone with the publication of groundbreaking research in the prestigious International Journal of Thermofluids, Elsevier.

Authored by the esteemed team of Ayusman Nayak, Dr. Rajiva Lochan Mohanty, and Dr. Sumanta Chaudhuri, the study titled “Study of aspect ratio effect in combined shear-driven and pressure-difference driven flow characterization of a third grade fluid in a rectangular channel” offers a deep dive into complex non-Newtonian fluid dynamics.

By investigating how channel dimensions influence fluid behavior under simultaneous shear and pressure forces, this research provides essential technical frameworks for advancing industries such as extrusion technology, glass-fiber manufacturing, and biofluid engineering.
