On World Book Day 2026, we highlight the vital role of reading in sharpening young minds and building character. Our library isn't just a room; it’s a powerhouse of imagination. For our students, books are more than just pages; they are passports to new worlds, tools for empathy, and the foundation of lifelong curiosity. By nurturing a love for reading, we empower our children to think critically, dream bigger, and build a brighter future. Let’s keep the magic of stories alive!

Honouring Our Home: Earth Day 2026

At The DN Wisdom Tree Global School, we believe that education is most powerful when it connects the heart to the natural environment around us. To mark Earth Day, our campus transformed into a vibrant hub of environmental consciousness as students across all grades got together in a series of curated, age-appropriate activities, thereby affirming our Wisdom Tree family's commitment to protecting the planet.

Our learners began their journey of stewardship by exploring the theme, "How can I be Earth’s Best Friend?" Through storytelling and art, they visualised the Earth as a living entity, responding to the poignant prompt: "Dear humans, I am your beautiful home, the Earth, full of life and wonder." These young conservationists expressed their love by drawing vivid pictures of our blue-and-green planet, accompanied by five heartfelt promises on how to care for their "best friend."

Action met awareness with classrooms establishing a dedicated "Earth Corner," serving as a permanent sanctuary for green ideas. There were Pledge Walls where students committed to sustainable habits, from reducing plastic use to conserving water. Practical learning took centre stage at the Sorting Stations, where students mastered the "Three Rs" (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) by categorising materials and understanding the lifecycle of waste.

Unique to the school's ethos, the day integrated spiritual wisdom with ecological science. Students spent time reciting and reflecting on the poem, "The Garden of The Shrimad Bhagavad Gita," finding parallels between nature’s resilience and inner peace. A significant highlight was the introduction of a specially curated module by our Vice Chairperson, Ms. Panchami Manoo Ukil, titled "The Cycle of Mutual Giving." Rooted in the teachings of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, this session taught students that humanity and nature exist in a sacred loop of reciprocity, reminding us that when we nourish the Earth, the Earth, in turn, nourishes us.

Our Earth Day 2026 message was unambiguous: at The DN Wisdom Tree Global School, a school as unique as your child, we aren't just teaching students about the planet we call home; we are raising the generation that will save it.

Akshyaya Tritiya

Greetings of Akshyaya Tritiya, one of the most auspicious days of the Odia calendar.

On this day, prior to the commencement of the agricultural sowing season, ritual worship is offered to Mother Earth, and seeds, livestock and agricultural implements are worshipped as well, for the blessings of a good harvest. Farmers perform 'Akhi Muthi Anukula', the ceremonial act of sowing seeds in paddy fields after ploughing. Furthermore, it is a joyous day in the temple town of Puri, as the construction of the Trinity's chariots commences with prayers and special rituals. And, the Lord of the Universe, sets off on the annual twenty-one day Chandan Yatra in Narendra Pushkarini, to beat the summer heat. Represented by the Bije Pratima idols of Shree Madanmohan, Bhudevi, Sridevi, Shree Ramakrushna and Panchu Pandav, the deities are taken in grand processions every day, to take part in the 'Chaapa' or water sports.

It is a time for renewal, for new beginnings, a time to prepare for the events ahead, a time to aspire for the good of humanity. May all be blessed, may all be well!

Parent Engagement Workshop 2026

PRAANTIK - Unlocking Potential As A Parent - an innovative workshop was conducted by Dr. John Harrison, CEO-Principal, with our partners - the esteemed community of parents.

The workshop began with a special session conducted by one of our esteemed parents Dr. C. S. Patra, reputed paediatric allergist, neonatologist, educator and counselor. Thereafter, Dr. John Harrison, CEO-Principal, spent two hours guiding parents to garner a better understanding of all they could do for the holistic growth of their children.

Interactive, engaging and inclusive, the exercises and games were designed to enhance parenting skills as well as to reinforce the values and knowledge imparted by The DN Wisdom Tree Global School to our children. The simple goal was to facilitate and strengthen the connect with parents, enabling them to better use the immense potential of parenting. The workshop ended on a spirited note, with positive feedback from participating parents.

Prajjwal 2026: The Wisdom Orientation Programme

A key date on the annual school calendar, PRAJJWAL, The Wisdom Orientation Programme is a vital component of the collaboration and information-communication aspect of the institution's partnership with our community of parents. The highlight of this orientation is sensitising and informing parents, especially about curriculum and pedagogy followed at The DN Wisdom Tree Global School​.​

T​oday at PRAJJWAL 2026, Dr. John Harrison, CEO-Principal, opened the session by highlighting the vision, the leadership, and the philosophy of the school, the purpose of the orientation session and how the teaching-learning process is enriched through innovative practices.

Thereafter, Dr. Rita Chatterjee, Advisor, took parents through our unique, specially curated curriculum, highlighting the school schedule, the unique interventions and key practices in a vibrant presentation which had the parents completely engaged and absorbed.

PRAJJWAL 202​6 concluded on a high note, with the spirit of collaboration and partnership strengthened, and with parents and the school leadership both expressing thankfulness and joy, looking forward to a bright future ahead.
