RBI introduces new Rs 10 note with new design, colour

• The Reserve Bank of India has announced to issue Rs10 denomination banknotes in the Mahatma (New) Series, bearing the signature of Dr. Urjit R. Patel, Governor, .
• The new has motif of Sun Temple, on the reverse, depicting the country's cultural heritage
• . The base colour of the note is Chocolate Brown. The dimension of the banknote will be 63 mm x 123 mm.

Meghalaya signs host city contract for 39th National Games in 2022

• Meghalaya signed the Host City Contract with the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) for hosting the 39th National Games in 2022.
• The tripartite contract was signed between the IOA, the Meghalaya State Olympic Association and the state government.

World's Biggest Cleanliness Survey 'Swachh Sarvekshan 2018' Launched

• The 's biggest cleanliness survey 'Swachh Sarvekshan Survey 2018' was launched in by PM Narendra .
• It will be conducted from the 4th of January to 10th of March. The survey will evaluate achievements in cleanliness level of urban areas.
• The cleanliness survey was launched in 2016 as part of the Swachh Bharat Mission. The main objective of Swachh Survekshan is to encourage large-scale citizen participation and create awareness towards making towns and cities a cleaner and better place to live in.
• Under the first survey, Swachh Survekshan-2016, 73 cities and all the state capitals were ranked. Mysuru had topped the list.
• In Swachh Survekshan-2017, 434 cities and all the state capitals were ranked. Indore had emerged as the cleanest city.

Arunachal Pradesh Declared Open Defecation Free
