We are delighted to inaugurate the Autodesk Design & Innovation Studio, Makers Lab and Clay Lab at the KIIT School of Design . These state-of-the-art facilities embody KIIT's commitment to fostering creativity, innovation and hands-on learning, empowering KIITians and faculties to explore emerging technologies, digital design, rapid prototyping, fabrication & material-based practices.
This initiative marks a significant milestone in our endeavour to strengthen design education by creating a collaborative ecosystem where design, technology, innovation and making converge. These spaces are designed to inspire curiosity, nurture creativity and empower the next generation of designers and innovators to transform ideas into meaningful solutions with global impact.

As a KIIT alumna and Odisha’s proud daughter, her achievement has brought immense happiness to the entire KIIT family and the people of Odisha. Expanding its global academic footprint, KIIT held a high-level virtual meeting with senior representatives from Tottori University and the Tottori Prefectural Government, Japan, to explore collaborations in academics, research, faculty and student exchange, Japanese language and workforce training, start-up initiatives, industry engagement and internship and career opportunities, particularly in Engineering and Technology. The discussions laid the foundation for signing a Memorandum of Understanding MoU during the proposed visit of the Hon'ble Governor of Tottori Prefecture to Odisha this year.
The Japanese delegation was led by Mr. Tomonori Sera, Director, International Affairs Division, Tottori Prefectural Government and Ms. Kumi Yasunobu, Vice President (Promotion of International Exchange), Tottori University, Mr. Yoshio IWAI, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Tottori University, Mr. Akifumi SHIMIZU, Director of Trading and Logistics Division, Tottori Prefectural Government along with other esteemed members.
Initiated by the Department of Language & Literature, KIIT School of Liberal Studies, this engagement reflects KIIT's unwavering commitment to nurturing globally competent graduates through international collaborations, language education, innovation and cross-cultural learning. We were proud to welcome our lovable KIIT alumna and Odisha’s pride, Ms Jyotirmayee Nayak, to KIIT & KISS.
We felicitated and congratulated her on reaching the Grand Finale of Indian Idol Season 16 and conveyed our best wishes for the final contest. She interacted with KISS students and members of the KIIT & KISS family and shared her journey with them. Her beautiful singing brought great joy to everyone present.

K-AEP 2026 reflects KIIT's unwavering commitment to empowering educators, advancing academic excellence and promoting lifelong learning. By fostering collaboration, innovation and knowledge exchange, the program contributes meaningfully to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the vision of Viksit Bharat, where education serves as the cornerstone of an inclusive, knowledge-driven and self-reliant nation.

Building climate resilience requires collective action, strong community institutions & sustainable water systems. We were delighted to host the State-level Consultation on "Climate Change and Sustainable Water Systems for Resilient Livelihoods: Role of Community Institutions," jointly organized by the Centre for Social Research and Innovation (SRI), KIIT School of Leadership, KIIT, SG Foundation, CRS and KISS, bringing together policymakers, academicians, development practitioners, financial institutions and civil society organizations to exchange ideas and chart a collaborative path towards resilient livelihoods.
The deliberations highlighted that climate action succeeds when communities are empowered through participatory governance, local leadership, institutional strengthening and multi-stakeholder partnerships. It was encouraging to witness the shared commitment of all stakeholders towards creating practical, community-led solutions for a more sustainable future.
At KIIT and KISS, we remain committed to fostering dialogue, research and partnerships that address global challenges through local action. KIIT No. 1 in India in 3 SDGs in THE Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026
Happy to share that KIIT has achieved another proud milestone in the Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026, securing the 101–200 global rank band and 4th position overall in India.
KIIT had a very humble beginning, but it has made its mark globally through rankings, accreditations and quality education. Today, KIIT stands with confidence among the reputed universities of the world. In India too, it has made a significant impact as a leading university.
KIIT has secured:
• 1st position in India in three SDGs — SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, SDG 14: Life Below Water, and SDG 16: Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions.
• 2nd position in India in two SDGs — SDG 9: Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure, and SDG 15: Life on Land.
• 3rd position in India in three SDGs — SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 6: Clean Water & Sanitation, and SDG 7: Affordable & Clean Energy.
All remaining SDGs are within the Top 10 in India.
Slow and steady wins the race, and this journey of KIIT proves that sincere effort, discipline and faith always bring results.
