The Reporters represent the typical journalists present at the United Nations who are internationally neutral and present the recordings of the UN session to the public without any personal bias. They are responsible for making background research and reporting on all the Committees, writing news features, and editorial pieces as well as multimedia production and press conferences.

"Our liberty depends on the freedom of press, and that cannot be limited without being lost" ~ Thomas Jefferson
The International Press (IP) Committee promotes the protection of press freedom and the improvement of journalism practices. This committee is different from others of its kind in the way that delegates do not represent the interests of any single country. The International Press Committee allows delegates to act as unbiased journalists who investigate committee debates, conduct interviews, edit articles, and cover press conferences.
The candidates are expected to observe the deliberation and write new articles that outline the agenda simulated in the committee. This committee allows the delegates to express their opinions without any bias towards any particular nation, while furnishing their journalism skills.
BJB MUN provides the stage for young and aspiring delegates to come forward and showcase their journalism skills while making attempts to change the world.

The photographers are usually one of the most anticipated
category of people to find in an MUN. Why?
Because they capture not only all the nuances of the delegation but also the snippets of everyone enjoying themselves through their camera lens. The Photographers are a part of the Press time that help them to report the proceedings in the delegation as well as to preserve the beautiful memories of their youthful endeavours.

"One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors" ~ Plato
The UN General Assembly (UNGA) is the main policy-making organ of the Organization. Comprising all Member States, it provides a unique forum for multilateral discussion of the full spectrum of international issues covered by the Charter of the United Nations.
The first session of the UNGA convened on 10th of January, 1946 in the Methodist Central Hall in London and included representatives of 51 Nations.
As delineated in the Charter of the United Nations, the function of the General Assembly is to discuss, debate, and make recommendations on subjects pertaining to international peace and security, including development, disarmament, human rights, international law, and the peaceful arbitration of disputes between nations. It considers reports from the other four organs of the United Nations, assesses the financial situations of member states, and approves the UN budget, its most concrete role. The assembly works with the Security Council to elect the judges of the International Court of Justice.
BJB MUN extends their heartfelt invitation to join us in this inspiring endeavour where young minds strive to achieve a better world.

"Peace cannot be attained through violence, it can only be attained through understanding." ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) was established after the Second World War to address the various wrong decisions made by the league of Nations . The council held its first session on 17th of January, in the Church house, Westminster, London.
The primary function of UNSC is to recommend alternative peaceful resolutions of transnational disagreements. As the single most powerful UN entity, UNSC is responsible for addressing all issues that pertain to international peace and security. Additionally, according to Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter, the Council can approve the use of force if there is no other way to maintain international peace.
As one of the primary organs of the United Nations, the UNSC judgements are absolutely binding on all the Member States as UNSC holds the veto power.
BJB MUN cordially invites you to join this very powerful committee where words are definitely more powerful than fists.
