🌍🥋 Global Club Session | Safety: Self-Defense in Multiple Settings
As part of the Global Club initiative, students of Grades III–V and VI–VIII participated in an inspiring and interactive session on "Safety: Self-Defense in Multiple Settings," conducted by our esteemed Global Educator from Canada, Marjorie Earl.
Through engaging demonstrations, role-playing activities, and practical exercises, students learned age-appropriate self-defense techniques while developing confidence, situational awareness, and the ability to respond safely in different real-life situations. The session highlighted that true self-defense begins with awareness, assertive communication, smart decision-making, and the confidence to set personal boundaries.
Students enthusiastically participated in the activities, gaining valuable life skills that will help them stay safe at school, at home, in public places, and while travelling.
The enriching session reflected our commitment to nurturing confident, resilient, and globally aware learners who are equipped with essential life skills beyond the classroom.

ODM Global School was honoured to welcome our esteemed Global Educators from Canada, Ms. Marjorie Earl and Mr. Michael Gange, whose visit marked another significant milestone in our journey towards international collaboration and global learning.
The distinguished guests received a traditional Indian welcome with chandan, tilak, floral greetings, and a vibrant cultural reception, reflecting the warmth, values, and hospitality of the ODM family.
The visit began with a special assembly celebrating global citizenship, cultural exchange, and lifelong learning. Ms. Marjorie Earl, an accomplished Martial Arts expert, inspired students with valuable lessons on discipline, resilience, confidence, and perseverance. Mr. Michael Gange, a passionate educator and photography enthusiast, encouraged learners to see the world through creativity, storytelling, and observation.

💚 Every Emotion Has a Voice. Every Mind Deserves Care. 🌿
What if we taught our children that it's okay to say, "I'm not okay"?
On the occasion of International Self-Care Day, ODM Global School, Bhubaneswar transformed its morning assembly into a meaningful celebration of emotional awareness, empathy, and resilience.
Through the interactive "Catch the Emotion" activity, students and teachers came together to recognise, express, and embrace their emotions. The Emotional Thermometer encouraged everyone to pause and reflect on how they were truly feeling, while the 5-4-3-2-1 Grounding Technique introduced a simple yet effective strategy to manage stress, stay present, and build emotional resilience.
The session reinforced that education extends far beyond academics. It is about nurturing emotionally intelligent, compassionate, and confident individuals who understand the importance of self-care and supporting one another.
