SiliconTech congratulates Subham Rath, from B.Tech. ECE 2022 batch for bagging the 33 LPA package at Texas Instruments.

SiliconTech was awarded the C.V Raman Award for Academic Excellence 2021 in the first C.V Raman Award Ceremony 2022 (An initiative by C.V Raman Foundation) organized at the NISER Campus, Bhubaneswar. Two students from SiliconTech, Subhrajyoti Biswal and Satya Prakash Rana were conferred the titles of Bigyan Jyoti 2021 and Bigyan Jyoti 2022, respectively. SiliconTech graciously accepts the recognition and is proud of its achievements.

SiliconTech’s Alumni Association organized an invited talk by Gyanaranjan Khuntia, our alumnus from the B.Tech. ECE batch of 2006 on 6th June 2022. Gyanaranjan is currently working with Mentor Graphics as Senior Engineering Manager. He addressed the students of the 2023 graduating batch. He discussed career opportunities in both the digital and analog VLSI industries.

SiliconTech's SWITCH (Silicon Wing of Technical Coding Hub) club organized an expert talk session on 'Strike the placements with Striver' on 8 June
under the patronage of the Student Innovation & Promotion Cell (SIPC). The session was addressed by Mr. Raj Vikramaditya (also known as Striver), currently working as a Software Engineer at Google. He is also a renowned YouTuber having two YouTube channels Striver (76.5K subscribers) and TakeUForward (197K subscribers). In the session, Mr. Raj shared his hiring experience and discussed the placement procedures and preparation strategies for the FAANG companies (Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Netflix, and Google). Around 350 students attended the session enthusiastically.

The II Cell at SiliconTech conducted an induction session on 16 May 2022 to introduce the students to the Summer Internship Program which is a part of the 4-years academic curriculum of B.Tech. The event included a detailed presentation regarding the procedure and significance of the program. The students of final year B. Tech shared their experiences about the benefits of the internship. An overwhelming response was received from the students.

Zygon 2022- Re-living Memories

SiliconTech organized 'NIRMAN', a one of its kind technological festival, from 28th April 2022 to 30th April 2022. Dr. Ashok Kumar Badamali, founder & CEO of Inofonity Pvt. Ltd. graced the event as the Chief Guest. He is a renowned is a cardiac anaesthesiologist at KIIMS, Bhubaneswar and the first ECMO specialist of our state. Our motto being "Rise with Technology", the festival comprised various events like Robotics-Line follower, Robo race, Ideathon and hackathon. The event witnessed an overwhelming response as students from various institutes turned up to ideate and innovate. Winners were awarded with cash prizes upto INR 1 Lac.

SiliconTech organized the celebration of International Women’s Day (IWD) on 26 March 2022, though officially IWD is on 8 March, every year. The theme for IWD 2022 was ‘Gender Equality Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow’. Three inspiring talks were arranged by eminent women personalities from different sectors viz., Dr. Chidatmika Khatua, a philanthropist & social activist who has carved a niche in Odisha with her selfless interest and commitment towards various social welfare programs, Dr. Sunanda Mishra Panda a social entrepreneur, community leader, and a litterateur who has more than 30 years of experience in education and community service and Ms. Archita Sahu, a renowned Indian actress and model who has established a career in Odia films. The speakers shared their experiences related to the theme which inspired the audience.
The talk was followed by a panel discussion.
