ROLE MODEL INTERACTION

Across the world, most people are likely to picture a man first when they are asked to think of a STEM professional like a scientist, engineer, etc
Why is that?

Women have contributed immensely in STEM field but there are fewer women in STEM careers than men and this under representation means that there are fewer women role models for young girls.
Research shows that the number of girls interested in STEM almost doubles when they have role model to inspire them.

There is a saying "You can't be who you can't see." If we could not imagine ourselves like the person we want to become then we can not be that person.
Here comes the need for ROLE MODEL INTERACTION(RMI) which we are providing our students every month.
We are introducing the women of our Odisha who are in STEM field despite every odds.

Leaving behind everything that pulled them down, These STEMinist
choose Science over Silence and have come a long way to inspire others.

STEMinism is a shade of FEMINISM that advocates the advancements of women in STEM.

Here we are again with this session of HACKATHON.

Patang is happy to share with you all that this is our 2nd implementation of Hackathon with 3district,5schools, and 25 girls students involved in this process and developed 5 different prototypes as a solution to their challenge.

HACKATHON is an initiative to empower students with the skill of problem-solving, root cause finding, accepting challenges of life positively, and solving them with their own effort.
In short, we are saying it "I CAN" attitude.
