Anjali Scholarship 2026–27

On 6 August 2026, Swabhiman conducted the interview session for the Anjali Scholarship 2026–27 at its office in Bhubaneswar.

This year, we received more than 350 applications from students with diverse talents, aspirations, and backgrounds. After the initial screening, 107 students were shortlisted and invited for the interview, which was conducted through 8 interview boards.

What made the day special was the diversity of talent we saw, students pursuing academics, art, music, dance, and other creative fields, each carrying a unique dream and a story of their own.
The Anjali Scholarship is not just about financial support. It is about creating opportunities, nurturing talent, and empowering young people to believe in their potential. By supporting students from different backgrounds and areas of talent, we continue to work towards a more inclusive education system where every young person gets the opportunity to learn, grow, and pursue their aspirations.

A meeting was held on 31 August 2026 at Lok Seva Bhawan, Bhubaneswar, between Dr. Sruti Mohapatra, CEO, Swabhiman, Smt. Anu Garg, IAS, Chief Secretary to the Government of Odisha, and Shri Suresh Kumar Vasisth, IAS, Secretary, SSEPD Department, Government of Odisha.

The meeting focused on key issues related to the inclusive development and empowerment of persons with disabilities.

98th Regional Parents’ Meet 2026

Dr. Shruti Mohapatra graced the inaugural session of the 98th Regional Parents’ Meet 2026 as the Guest of Honour at Rourkela.

Held under the theme “From Care to Empowerment: Building Inclusive Communities through Strong Families and Collective Action,” the two-day meet brought together parents, professionals, organisations and stakeholders to strengthen collective efforts towards inclusion, empowerment and meaningful participation of persons with disabilities.

A meaningful gathering that celebrates the strength of families, the power of collective action and the shared vision of building truly inclusive communities.

5th State Level Photography Day 📸 | Celebrating Inclusion Through Photography

The 5th State Level Photography Day Exhibition was inaugurated today, 19 August 2026, at Jaydev Bhawan, Bhubaneswar, organised by NBN Sutradhar Trust in collaboration with Swabhiman and the Government of Odisha.

The inauguration was graced by Shri Niranjan Pujari, Dr. Sruti Mohapatra, Smt. Sulochana Das, Shri Anil Dhir, and Shri Jagannath Das as distinguished guests.

This year, the exhibition brings together powerful photographs that explore disability, inclusion, diversity and human dignity-encouraging us to look beyond disability and recognise the abilities, aspirations, experiences and contributions of persons with disabilities.

Photography becomes a powerful medium to challenge stereotypes, amplify voices and create a more inclusive society.

The exhibition will remain open until 22 August 2026. We warmly invite everyone to visit, engage with the photographs, and be part of this celebration of art, diversity and inclusion.
