Inspiring Young Minds Through Science & Innovation | Outreach at IISER Bhopal
CS2-IISER hosted students and faculty members from Pt. Khushilal Sharma Govt. (Autonomous) Ayurveda College & Institute, Bhopal on 11 June 2026 for an engaging outreach visit aimed at fostering scientific curiosity, innovation, and interdisciplinary learning.
The visit commenced with an introduction to IISER Bhopal and its academic and research ecosystem by Prof. J. Sankar, Head, CS2 Office, followed by an insightful session on Communication, Innovation, and Incubation by Mr. Aman Sinha, Project Incubation Manager, IICE.
Participants explored the institute's world-class research infrastructure through visits to the Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF) and the Research Laboratory, where they gained valuable insights into advanced scientific techniques and ongoing research activities. An informative talk on the Animal Facility by Dr. Ramanamurthy Boppana, adjunct faculty, Department of Biology, highlighted the importance of ethical practices and modern biomedical research. The visit concluded with an interaction at the IISER Innovation and Incubation Centre (IICE), showcasing the institute's commitment to entrepreneurship and technology-driven solutions.
The enthusiastic participation and meaningful interactions throughout the day reflected the shared vision of promoting scientific excellence and encouraging collaboration across disciplines.

IISER Bhopal-Centre for Science and Society (CS2) hosted the students and faculty members of Bansal Institute of Science and Technology, Bhopal, for a scientific exposure visit on May 21, 2026.
The visit commenced with an informative talk delivered by Dr. Samiran Das and Dr. Vivek Deolkar from the Department of Data Science and Engineering, offering valuable insights into emerging areas of science and technology.
Participants were also given an opportunity to visit the EECS Laboratory and the Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF), where they interacted with advanced scientific instruments and research facilities. The visit served as a meaningful platform to encourage scientific curiosity, academic interaction, and awareness about interdisciplinary research among students.

On the occasion of National Technology Day, students of IISER Bhopal showcased their creativity and scientific spirit at the Regional Science Centre, Bhopal, through an engaging exhibition.
Students from the Departments of Chemical Engineering, Data Science and Engineering, and Electrical Engineering & Computer Science presented innovative research projects and interactive technology demonstrations. The exhibits reflected a strong commitment to scientific inquiry, innovation, and real-world problem-solving.
The event drew enthusiastic participation from visitors across all age groups, who actively explored the models, interacted with the presenters, and experienced the excitement of science and technology up close.
Through such initiatives, IISER Bhopal continues to inspire curiosity, foster innovation, and strengthen the bridge between science and society.

CS2โIISER Bhopal welcomed students and teachers from Bansal College of Pharmacy, Bhopal, for an engaging exposure visit.
The day began with a guided visit to the Chemistry and Bio UG Lab, where participants explored interactive, hands-on experiments that made learning both fun and meaningful. This was followed by a visit to the Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF), offering a glimpse into advanced research infrastructure and a vibrant academic environment.
Such visits play a vital role in nurturing curiosity, building confidence, and inspiring young minds to explore careers in science and research. We look forward to hosting many more such inspiring interactions.

The Vigyan Pratibha Team visited JNV Waraseoni, Balaghat, where a mathematics teacher conducted the learning unit โFinding the Right Pathโ with Class 8 students, while the VP team engaged Class 9 students in the science learning unit โLooking Through the Microscope.โ
Through the mathematics activity, students learned to represent problems mathematically using graphs and the concept of paths in graphs, thereby developing their logical thinking in an engaging way.
In the science session, students gained a basic understanding of the microscope and observed how objects appear under magnification, making learning both exciting and insightful. The sessions witnessed enthusiastic participation, with students actively engaging, exploring, and learning through hands-on experiences.
