SFI strongly condemns the shocking incident of institutional murder of Ujjwal Rana, a student at DAV PG College, Budhana, Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. On November 8, 2025, Ujjwal committed su***de by self-immolation inside the college premises after being harassed and humiliated by the college Principal and the police officials. He succumbed to his injuries in the hospital on the evening of November 9, two days after undergoing treatment.
Ujjwal had been protesting, along with other students, in the college campus against the Principal's arbitrary imposition of a ban on the students from taking the examinations due to a failure in paying the full fee amount. He has managed to pay Rs. 1700, where Rs.7000 was due for payment. The principal reportedly abused him physically and verbally. The police officer who came to the campus reportedly assaulted him and pushed him out of the campus. He called out the institutional apathy of DAV administration and holds the principal and police officials responsible for the extreme step he has taken, through a video which was recorded before the incident.
Under the double engine rule of NDA government led by Yogi and Modi in the state and centre respectively, the idea of basic right to education is facing serious threat. With the implementation of National Education Policy that excludes students from struggling and marginalized backgrounds, there is a deliberate attempt to commercialize education, mercilessly pushing out those who can't afford education. The assaultive nature that is being normalised and justified under the _Manusmritic_ order practiced by the state is highly repulsive and is directly responsible for the growing institutional apathy towards underprivileged and marginalized students.
The Students' Federation of India strongly condemns the brutal institutional murder of Ujjwal Rana, and further demands that people including the Principal of DAV PG College, Budhana, and all other administrative officers and staff, and police personnel whose names are mentioned in his last letter be held accountable. We demand immediate arrest of the criminals and strict legal action against each one involved in this atrocious incident.

महात्मा गांधी की 156वीं जयंती के अवसर पर छात्रों ने मिंटो हॉल पुरानी विधानसभा भोपाल स्थित गांधी प्रतिमा पर माल्यार्पण कर उन्हें याद किया। अपने श्रद्धा सुमन अर्पित किये।
इसी के साथ छात्रों ने सोनम वांगचुक की गिरफ्तारी का भी प्रतिकार किया हैं हम जानते हैं उन्होंने लद्दाख के लिए संविधान की 6 वीं अनुसूची व विभिन्न मुद्दों पर लंबे समय तक अनशन किया है वह महत्वपूर्ण शिक्षक,प्रख्यात जलवायु गतिविधियो व पर्यावरण वैज्ञानिक के रूप में जाने जाते है। उन्हें हमारे देश की मौजूदा सरकार ने झूठे षड्यंत्र के तहत जेल में डाला है आज गांधी जयंती के अवसर पर हम उनकी गिरफ्तारी की निंदा करते हैं और उन्हें अभिलंब बिना शर्त जेल से रिहा किये जाने की मांग उठाई गई।
एस एफ आई जिला समिति भोपाल द्वारा इस कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया और यह आव्हान भी किया गया है कि सोनम वांगचुक के समर्थन में आने वाले समय और भी बड़े आंदोलन विकसित किया जाएंगा।

भिंड जिले के गोहद तहसील में sfi स्कूल की फीस सफाई और निःशुल्क पुस्तक वितरण पेयजल खेल कूद सुविधा व त्रैमासिक वी वार्षिक परीक्षा में नकल रुकवाने के सवाल को लेकर स्कूल प्राचार्य को ज्ञापन सोपा और 7 दिवस के अंदर समस्या का समाधान नहीं हुआ तो एक बड़ा आंदोलन गोहद में किया जाएगा।

कल मध्यप्रदेश सरकार के द्वारा प्रतियोगी परीक्षार्थियों के चाहे वह ESB हो या PSC छात्रों के साथ लगातार किए जा रहे अन्याय के लिए स्टूडेंट्स फेडरेशन ऑफ़ इंडिया (SFI) से छात्रों की माँगो की लेकर संयुक्त मंच बनाने की बात कही गई थी । निश्चित तौर पर एसएफआई छात्रों के मुद्दों को लेकर हमेशा संघर्षरत रही है और हमेशा छात्र हित की लड़ाई के लिए पूरी तरह प्रतिबद्ध है।
हम छात्रों से अनुरोध करना चाहते है कि अब छात्रों को इस भ्रष्ट और अन्यायी सरकार के ख़िलाफ़ पढ़ाई के साथ-साथ अपनी लड़ाई के लिए भी सड़को पर संघर्ष को मजबूत करना होगा और उसमे अपनी भागीदरी सुनिश्चित करनी होगी।तभी हम इस अन्याय की लड़ाई को मजबूती से पाने में सक्षम होंगे।
जल्द ही मध्यप्रदेश में छात्रहित के लिए संयुक्त मोर्चा बनाने का प्रयास करेंगे और छात्रों की आवाज को मजबूती से उठाने का प्रयास करेंगे।
