World Cancer Day
Oriental College of Pharmacy (OCP), Bhopal observed World Cancer Day on 4th February 2020.
Prof. Prashant Y. Mali presented a special talk on recent advances in pharmacotherapy of cancer. Prof. Sarita Karole explained to the audience latest developments on treatment and management modalities of cancer. In addition, VI semester students also gave brief talks on topics related to causes and precautions of dreaded disease. Devraj Pandey of VI sem spoke on epidemiology of cancer. Sukriti Trivedi explained the types and stages of cancer and Rishika P. Raj shared her knowledge on pathogenesis and symptoms of cancer. The purpose of this session on World Cancer Day was to create more awareness among pharmacy students and the society in general.

observes Swachhata Pakhwada 2020, an initiative of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, Department of Higher Education, Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) Cell with the Swachhta Pledge. During the ceremony, the staff and students took a pledge to work towards the cause of swachhata as envisioned by Mahatma Gandhi and propagate the message of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan,Students have planted saplings & cleaned medicinal garden.

Guest Speaker of the event Dr. Pawan Kumar Kare, Assistant Professor, Gandhi Medical College guided students regarding all the essential laboratory investigations and their Importance in the diagnosis of diseases.
Dr. P.K. Chopra, Executive Director OCP & OCM has given memento to Dr. Pawan kumar Kare & thanked him for giving his precious time for students.

# Fresher's Welcome - 2K19
OCP has celebrated an extravagant freshers function, "ABHINANDAN " on 14th Oct 2019. Programme was started by enlightening lamp to Maa Saraswati by dignitaries. Chief guest, Dr. Tripti Saxena, Professor and Head, Dept. Of Medical Biochemistry, Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal, Shri. R. K. Sahni, CEO, OGI and Dr. P. K. Chopra, Executive Director, OCP and OCM shared their views for making brighter career in pharmacy profession. Events like, beatboxing, solo song, ramp walk, etc. alongwith oath ceremony of newly nominated members of Student Activity Council was conducted. The function was concluded by presenting the trophy and crown to Mr. and Ms. Fresher followed by vote of thanks.
