Dear students and parents
Your exams have started. I know you'll are really anxious to do well but please do remember, amongst the students who will give the exams is an artist who doesn't need to understand Math. There's an entrepreneur who doesn't care about History or English literature. There's a musician whose Chemistry marks won't matter.
There's a sportsperson whose physical fitness is more important than Physics. If your child does get top marks then great. But if he or she doesn't then don't take away their self confidence from them. Tell them it's ok, it's just an exam. They are cut out for much bigger things in life. Tell them, no matter what they score you love them and will not judge them.
Please do this and if you do, watch your children conquer the world. One exam or a 90 percent won't take away their dreams and talent.

Birth
My life started in a place so small
Not even big enough for me to crawl
A sac inside which I was bound
Was it oval, irregular or round?
All I saw was blackness around
The world outside was yet to be found
It had been 9 months since my first cell had formed
And in a little while the surgery would be performed
I was going to see the one who had given me birth
Her eyes surely filled with mirth
I let out a cry, music to her ears
Eyes of family, friends and cousins glistening with tears
I opened my eyes and saw the most beautiful face
Lips curved in a smile, eyes filled with grace
Then I felt a touch on my back
And a second one on my bum on which the doctor had given a whack
And I was just happy to be in her arms
Where I could not be harmed
The safest place in the world
Where I slept as soon as I curled.
