Today, we arrived in the holy land of Ayodhya Dham, traveling from Prayagraj amidst an immense crowd, walking for long distances. The streets are filled with devotees coming from Mahakumbha, eager for the darshan of Shri Ram Lalla and Hanuman Garhi.
Lessons from the Journey
1️⃣ Misplaced Priorities
Many people’s minds were preoccupied with their mobiles and footwear, spending so much time arranging and searching for lost items. In life, we often focus excessively on material concerns, forgetting the real purpose of our journey—spiritual elevation.
2️⃣ Chanting with the Right Intent
In the crowd, one man was enthusiastically chanting "Jai Shri Ram", holding his phone in selfie mode. But after a long time, he realized that he had forgotten to turn on the video! His chanting was not to glorify the Lord but to showcase himself.
➡️ True bhakti is done for the pleasure of the Lord, not for social display. The Bhagavad Gita (9.26) reminds us that Krishna accepts even a simple offering if given with sincerity and devotion.
3️⃣ Taking Shelter of the Lord
A father lifted his one-year-old son onto his shoulders so that the child could have darshan of Lord Ram. While the crowd was anxious and struggling, the child remained joyful, feeling completely safe in his father's care.
➡️ Similarly, when a devotee takes full shelter of Krishna, external difficulties do not disturb him. The Bhagavad Gita (18.66) assures us:
"Abandon all varieties of dharma and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reactions. Do not fear."
