Chance for all school students to compete in "Madhya Pradesh State Debate Team Selections"
Indian Debating League in collaboration with "Up for Debate" and "Jus Cultura", The Literary and Debating society of National Law Institute University Bhopal is hosting the Madhya Pradesh state selection for Indian Debating League in all three categories. The mode of organization shall be hybrid. Three Qualifier rounds would be hosted online while Elimination rounds (Octofinals and after) would be hosted on campus for top 16 participants.
The top 16 participants would be given an opportunity to join us and represent team India in multiple International Tournaments such as LSE (London School of Economics) Open 2022, Stanford Invitational 2023 and many more. Indian Debating League (IDL) debaters have represented India at the reputed Oxford Union, Harvard, Prague, Burnaby Canada and many more Schools Debates this year. With the experience of having encouraged 68,000 students having debated with the team, IDL would invite top 2 participants from the state selection to compete to be a part of Team India for the Invitational Debate tournament in Harvard in March 2023.
*Participation in the state selection can be in three categories*
-Grades 4 to 6
-Grades 7 to 9
-Grades 10 to 12

Preliminary Rounds: October 21-22, 2022
Outrounds: October 29-30, 2022
Venue: National Law Institute University Bhopal
Metric of Evaluation: Content, Style and Strategy
Registration Starts: 25th September 2022
Last date for registration: 15th October 2022
Registration Fee: 680 per student (inclusive of taxes)
Top 16 Students in each category would be invited to NLIU, Bhopal for Elimination rounds and would be trained for participation in future international debate tournaments. We invite as many students as possible to participate in each category. We request the schools to facilitate and select such students for participation.
