IIIT Bhopal and MPCST Jointly Organize Industry–Academia Meet 2026

The Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Bhopal, in collaboration with the Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology (MPCST), successfully organized the Industry–Academia Meet 2026 on 30 July 2026 at Hotel Palash Residency, Bhopal, under the theme:

"Industry–Academia Partnership in Nation Building: Promoting Economic Growth, Skill Development and Innovation."

The meet brought together nearly 100 participants from academia, industry, research organizations, startups, and government institutions to strengthen collaboration in research, innovation, internships, consultancy, entrepreneurship, and technology development.

The inaugural session was graced by Dr. Anil Kothari, Director General, MPCST; Dr. Vijay Manohar Tiwari, Vice-Chancellor, Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication; Prof. Sudhir Singh Bhadauria, Director, UIT-RGPV, Bhopal; and Prof. Ashutosh Kumar Singh, Director, IIIT Bhopal.

The event featured insightful addresses by Prof. Ashutosh Kumar Singh, Dr. Anil Kothari, Prof. Sudhir Singh Bhadauria, and Dr. Vijay Manohar Tiwari, highlighting the importance of stronger industry–academia collaboration, innovation, Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Technology, and the effective utilization of resources for building an Atmanirbhar Bharat.

The expert sessions featured Mr. Vishwasan Hebalkar (Organizational Secretary, Central & Western Region, Vijnana Bharati), Dr. Dwarika Singh (Managing Director, ITSC Technologies Pvt. Ltd.), Mr. Piyush Shah (CEO & Founder, AlignTogether Solutions Pvt. Ltd.), and Mr. Tarun Kumar Kaushik (HRD Manager, BHEL Bhopal). Mr. Keshav Garg, a student entrepreneur from IIIT Bhopal, also presented the inspiring journey of his healthcare startup, Monavi, showcasing the potential of student-led innovation.

The programme concluded with an interactive Industry–Academia Dialogue, presentation of awards recognizing excellence in leadership and collaboration, and a renewed commitment to strengthening the research, startup, and innovation ecosystem.

Our Hon'ble Director, Prof. Ashutosh Kumar Singh, delivered a keynote address on "Quantum Machine Learning and Cloud Computing" at the 12th International Conference on Smart Computing and Communication (ICSCC 2026), held in Bali, Indonesia, from 23–25 July 2026.
