Grade 7 Educational Field Trip to Radio Vishnu 90.4 FM, Bhimavaram
As part of the Westberry School Activity Segment, the students of Grade 7 visited Radio Vishnu 90.4 FM Station, Bhimavaram, today for an engaging and insightful educational field trip.
The visit was a highly informative and awareness-building experience that gave students an opportunity to explore the world of radio broadcasting, communication, and audio production. The students interacted with the professionals at the station and gained valuable insights into how a radio programme is planned, produced, recorded, and broadcast.

Students:
Learned about Radio Vishnu 90.4 FM and its role in community broadcasting.
Explored the different types and formats of radio programmes.
Understood the importance of voice modulation, tone, clarity, pronunciation, and effective communication.
Observed professional studio equipment, microphones, control systems, and soundproof walls.
Learned the basics of radio broadcasting, audio recording, and programme production.
Understood how teamwork and coordination play an important role in creating a successful radio programme.
Gained awareness of the importance of confidence, creativity, and presentation skills for media professionals.
Learned how radio can be used as a powerful medium for education, awareness, entertainment, and community engagement.
Developed a better understanding of the behind-the-scenes efforts involved in producing a radio show.
Came to know about the station’s Guinness World Record for a continuous three-day radio broadcast, which inspired students to appreciate dedication, teamwork, and perseverance.
The field trip provided students with a meaningful hands-on learning experience beyond the classroom, helping them connect their academic learning with real-world applications. It was an enriching and memorable experience that encouraged students to become more confident, observant, and effective communicators.
