🌸 Women’s Marathon on International Women’s Day 🌸
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Sh. Tara Chand Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Bhikhi proudly organized a Women’s Marathon to celebrate the spirit of Nari Shakti and Women Empowerment.
The marathon witnessed enthusiastic participation from female teachers, girl students, and women of the local community, spreading a strong message of strength, unity, and empowerment. The event was inaugurated by our respected chief guests with warm Women’s Day wishes and the release of colorful balloons. The marathon started from the school campus, passed through various streets of Bhikhi, and concluded back at the school premises.
After the marathon, a vibrant cultural program and fun games for women were organized in the school campus, where mothers and sisters participated with great excitement.
We were honored by the presence of our special guests Didi Rupinder Kaur, Didi Sapna (Brahma Kumari Ashram), Didi Saroj Rani (Retd. Teacher & Social Worker), Didi Neelam Manchanda (SMC Member & Social Worker), Dr. Tamanna Garg and Dr. Diya, who shared inspiring thoughts on women’s education and empowerment.
On this special occasion, Didi Saroj Rani on behalf of the School Management Committee announced a 50% concession on admission fees for girls till 15 March to encourage girls’ education, celebrating the happiness of the school receiving CBSE recognition.
The program was beautifully anchored by Coordinator Didi Poonam Sharma, while Shishu Vatika Incharge Didi Sangeeta Sharma expressed heartfelt thanks to all the guests and participants.
The School Management Committee and Principal Rupinder Patial also extended special thanks to DC Mansa, District Administration, Municipal Council Bhikhi, medical stores, donors, and media personnel for their support, security, medical assistance, and coverage of the event.
The initiative received an overwhelming response from the local community, and many appreciated that such a Women’s Marathon was organized for the first time in the Bhikhi area.
