Catherine students showcased humanity through social service. The students of Catherine School acted as scribes for visually impaired students of Netra Vidyalaya College. The 9th-grade students of Catherine School selflessly set aside their school routine and served as scribes for visually impaired students at Netra Vidyalaya Junior College, Mangamaripeta, and Ramadri, during their exams. They patiently read out the questions and wrote down the answers given by the visually impaired students, proving that vision is not a barrier to education.

This meaningful experience, inspired by the leadership and vision of Mr. Oliver Rayi, the founder of Catherine Educational Institutions, who believes in service to society as the purpose of life, left an indelible mark on the students. It helped them understand the challenges faced by visually impaired students and taught them values like compassion, responsibility, and silent service.

Standing by their peers in the examination hall, they realized that true education is a blend of knowledge and humanity. The management of Netra Vidyalaya College extended heartfelt gratitude to the students of Catherine School for this opportunity. The Sec &Correspondent Mr. Oliver Rayi congratulated the students and inspired them to create a society that walks together and wins together.

Talk by Dr.Vijayalakshmi Pratha

High school students of Catherine School had a unique opportunity to listen to one of the top gastroenterologist in USA, Dr. Vijayalakshmi Pratha. Dr Vijayalakshmi hails from Vizag and is a medical graduate from Andhra Medical College here. She later went served an internship and residency in internal medicine at Wayne State University in Detroit and a fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of California,San Diego (UCSD).She is a member of several professional organisations.
Dr Vijayalakshmi spoke at length to the students of Catherine on Study habits, personal and community responsibility and resilience which are needed to excel in life and also how one needs to be spiritual too as it helps the body and mind to balance life academically and spiritually. She also stressed on taking care of eating habits and keeping our gut strong and healthy.
Students had a healthy interaction with her after the talk .
