195th Birth Anniversary Celebration of Krantiyoti Savitribai Phule.

It's not just any birthday, it's a day to remember and honour a remarkable woman who fought for girls' education and sparked a revolution in India.

Savitribai Phule was born in 1831. When she was young, girls were not allowed to go to school, especially girls from lower castes. Savitribai herself did not get a chance to study as a child. With the support of her husband, Mahatma Jyotirao Phule, she learned and became a teacher. She dreamed of a world where every girl could go to school, read, write, and become independent. She worked hard to make this dream come true for many children.

Let's pay tribute to the pioneer of Women’s Education in India.

On this day, 25 December, we celebrate Manusmriti Dahan Divas (Manusmriti Burning Day) and honor Babasaheb Ambedkar for the symbolic burning of the Manusmriti text on 25 December 1927, during the Mahad Satyagraha, as a protest against social injustice and gender inequality perpetuated by Brahminical oppression.

This historic act rejected the caste hierarchy and laws that devalued fellow men and women, inspiring its continued observance today as a call to challenge entrenched discrimination.

Celebrating the Legacy of Mata Ramabai Ambedkar

On behalf of Mata Ramabai Ambedkar Learning Centre, we celebrate the birth anniversary of Ramabai Ambedkar, born on 7th February, honoring her immense contributions to society. While she is often recognized as Dr. B. R. Ambedkar's wife, she was much more than that—she was 'Ramaai,' the mother of the community, a symbol of strength, resilience, and sacrifice. Her life marks a pivotal moment in India's feminist and anti-caste history, as she played a monumental role not only in Babasaheb’s life but also in the broader anti-caste struggle.

On this special day, we humbly pay tribute to Mata Savitribai Phule, a luminary whose life and work continue to inspire generations. Her tireless efforts to promote education, especially for girls and marginalized communities, laid the foundation for a more equitable and inclusive society.

As the first female teacher of modern India, Mata Savitribai Phule dedicated herself to the cause of enlightenment through education, alongside her husband, Mahatma Jyotirao Phule. She taught us that knowledge is the most powerful force to break barriers of inequality and create a better world for all.

At the Mata Ramabai Ambedkar Learning Centre we are deeply inspired by her vision and strive to carry her legacy forward. Her values resonate with the teachings of Babasaheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, reminding us that education is the key to empowerment and social progress.

On behalf of the Mata Ramabai Ambedkar Learning Centre, we honor and celebrate the historic victory at Bhima Koregaon . The brave 500 Mahar soldiers who stood tall against the 28,000 Peshwa forces embodied the values of courage, unity, and justice.

Their triumph is not just a part of history—it is a continuing source of inspiration for our fight for equality, dignity, and freedom for all. As we reflect on their legacy, we renew our commitment to empowering future generations with education, knowledge, and the strength to challenge oppression. Together, we continue their journey towards a just and equitable society.
