ਅਜਾਦੀ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਭਗਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਣਨਾ,
ਰੱਸਾ ਫਾਂਸੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਗਲ ਪਾਉਣਾ ਪੈਂਦੈ।

ਪੈਂਦਾ ਕੌਮ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਜਰਨੈਲ ਬਨਣਾ,
ਮਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਜ਼ਮੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਵਾਉਣਾ ਪੈਂਦੈ।

ਹਾਕਮ ਭੁੱਲ ਜਾਵੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਫਰਜ਼ ਆਪਣਾਂ,
ਫਰਜ ਓਸ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਵਾਉਣਾ ਪੈਂਦੈ।

ਜਾਣ-ਬੁੱਝ ਕੇ ਹਾਕਮ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਬੋਲਾਂ,
ਉਹਦੇ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਬੰਬ ਚਲਾਊਣਾ ਪੈਂਦੈ।

ਪਰਗਟ ਅਣਖ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਉਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ,
ਸਿਰ ਕੱਟਣਾ ਤੇ ਨਾਲੇ ਕਟਵਾਉਣਾ ਪੈਂਦੈ।
