Central Board of Secondary Education has postponed the launch of its Class 12 verification and re-evaluation portal from May 29 to June 1, saying the website is being strengthened to ensure a transparent and glitch-free process. The portal is meant for students seeking verification and re-evaluation of answer sheets under the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system. Only students who have already received scanned copies of their evaluated answer books will be able to raise question-wise objections. Subject experts will review specific answers again, and marks will be updated if discrepancies are found. CBSE said students should compare their answers with the official marking scheme before submitting objections. Fees include ₹500 per answer book for verification and ₹100 per question for re-evaluation, though the Education Ministry had earlier announced reduced charges and refunds if marks increase after review. |
