Generally 14th February is a day of celebration for many reasons, Students of English literature, B.A. Nandkunvarba Arts Mahila College has celebrated it in a different way. English Department of NMC has launched a booklet of Nobel laureate in English Literature titled “Breathings of a Heart” on 14th February, 2020 as a part of Nucleus club activity (Nucleus is club of English department, B.A., NMC).

The booklet contains 116 Nobel laureates in English literature from 1901 to 2019. It is a collaborative work of First year (2019 -2022), Second year (2018 – 2021) and Third year (2017 – 2020) students under the guidance of Nucleus Club, English Department, B. A., Nandkunvarba Mahila Arts College. All the information is gathered by First Year and Second Year students from web sources, like Nobel Prize Org., Britannica and Wikipedia. The information was shared by Whats app in groups and then it was compiled by Third Year students. The cover page is designed by Avani Jani and team (Eng. TY – BA). Title is taken from William Wordsworth’s famous quotation “Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart”.

As an in-charge of this activity I heartily thank Shree Bharatsinhji Gohil Sir (Managing Trustee) and Shree Ravindrasinhji Sarvaiya sir (Managing Director) for their support and encouragement.

5th September - Teacher's day Celebration
It's an amazing feeling for students to get an opportunity to become a one day Teacher. They can get the authorities and feel the superior position of a teacher in class but parallel they also face the hardship of a teacher to control the class to handle notorious students with limited time of recess.

Many students have participated and performed well too. I am glad that more than 20 students from BA English participated, and 75 students from all over BA department Nandkuvarba Mahila College celebrated the teacherhood for a day.

The second session of Bachelor's of Arts - First Year English Literature students was guided by Dr. AbdulShamim Khan sir (Professor of English Literature Shamaldas Arts College). He has delivered a lecture on "Poetry - a literary form".
He discussed the concept of poetry with the reference of several poets to new students. Students were satisfied with his guidance and expertise.

The first session of Bachelor's of Arts - First Year English Literature students was guided by Dr. M. B. Gaujan sir (Head of English Department in Shamaldas Arts College). He has delivered a fruitful lecture on "All My Sons by Arthur Miller".
He explained the concept of "American Dream" "Morality" and "ethics in business" with "Ideology" to the new students. Students were delighted to get guidance from an expert of the subject.
