Bhangar High School This page was set up by one of the ex-students of this school. And this is maintained by some teachers and present students.

Bhangar High School was established in 1914 and is a boys' school upto Class X, and co-educational upto Class XII, State Govt aided school. It is a rural school situated in the South 24 Parganas District, 30 kilometres south-east of Kolkata. The school is staffed by a Headmaster, and more than two specialist teachers in each subjects. The school recognises its responsibilities to meet the learning needs of all children of the locality, as well as neighborhood areas including those with special learning needs within the general teaching programmes, and is widely regarded as a school that is providing a good quality education for its children. Student’s participate in a range of interesting learning activities that are frequently linked to their own lives and the local community. Children are actively encouraged to accept accountability and responsibility for their own learning and behaviour, demonstrating a growing understanding of their development as independent learners. Staff and children enjoy a pleasant environment with a community library, a well equipped computer training centre, open field, separate laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Nutrition Sciences, a permanent stage, separate Common Rooms for Boys and Girls.
