Zilla School, Bhadrak, Odisha MY SCHOOL-OUR SCHOOL -This school was established in the year 1882 by Ray Bahadur Nimain Charan Bose DR . At present 724 students are studying in the school.

The age old institution,Bhadrak High School subsequently named as, “ZILLA SCHOOL, BHADRAK” stands as a premier institution in the Bhadrak district.This school was established in the year 1882 by Ray Bahadur Nimain Charan Bose, the then Jamindar of Kothar, Bhadrak & Mian Munshi Shaik Abdul Gani, a generous person of Bhadrak who donated land for the purpose. It was not only the oldest school of Bhadrak district but also the 7th oldest in the state of odisha.This heritage school is situated in the heart of Bhadrak town (Bhadrak Municipality) adjacent to the district Court of Bhadrak.Because of its standard of teaching it could attract the students from different corners of the state . Here needs a mention that the renowned educationist of our state late Satrughna Nath was a student of this institution,who by virtue of his extraordinary wit stood first in the Patna University , Which was controlling the then secondary examination system of three states, i.e Bengal ,Bihar & Orissa. Since the begining, the institution has been able to cater to the educational need of the students of various corners of the state.It is a glorious achievement of the institution that by now 19 students have been found place among the best tens in the Annual H.S.C Examinations , conducted by B.S.E Odisha .The products of this institution being engaged in various fields have proved themselves best . Harekrushna Mahatab ,named as “UTKALA KESHARI” has been educationaly brought up in this institution . The great scientist of Odisha , DR. Gokulananda Mohapatra has been brought up here . Dr.Satrughna Nath & so many prominent persons are there for whom the institution feels proud .The students of this institution have been shining starts to earn glory not only within the state and nation , rather internationally . Because of the successful achievements of the students,the institution has occupied a significant place among the counted ones . From the beginning it was known as Bhadrak High School which subsequently got the status of Zilla School in the year 2003 & now it is known as Zilla School, Bhadrak. It is an upper primary - Secondary School (class - VI to class -X) managed by Department of School & Mass Education, Odisha. It is the seventh oldest school of the state. The first Headmaster of this institution was Late Kedarnath Dutta who was by virtue of his spiritual contribution could have been a world class figure named as “BHAKTI BINOD THAKUR” to preach “SPIRITUAL SCIENCE and KRISHNA CONSCIOUSNESS”. He is the brightest jewel of our crown and will remain a source of indomitable spirit for all the time to come.
