🌱 Students for a Greener Tomorrow 🌍

Students of Class X-B at Baba Gandha Singh Public School, Bhadaur took a wonderful initiative towards environmental awareness and tree plantation. 🌳💚

Inspired by Ms. Monika Gupta, the students independently planned and arranged the plantation activity on their own. This was not a pre-planned school activity, but a thoughtful student-led effort reflecting their sense of responsibility towards nature.

Their initiative was highly appreciated by our respected Principal, Mr. Nirdosh Ralhan, who applauded Ms. Monika Gupta for inspiring students to take meaningful action for the environment.

Chemistry Activities at BGS Public School, Bhadaur 🔬
To foster scientific curiosity and bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and practical applications, BGS Public School, Bhadaur organized a series of hands-on, budget-friendly chemistry and science activities for students of Classes IX and X. These activities were designed to make learning interactive, enjoyable, curriculum-aligned, and connected to real-life observations.
🧪 Activities Conducted
Diffusion: Students observed the movement of particles from a region of higher concentration to a region of lower concentration.
Lemon Fizz Project: Through this engaging activity, students observed an acid–base reaction and the subsequent release of carbon dioxide gas, making the concept more tangible and memorable.
Electrolysis of Water: Students witnessed the decomposition of water into hydrogen and oxygen gases using electricity, helping them understand the concept of electrolytic decomposition.
Detection of Acids and Bases Using Methyl Orange: Students explored the use of methyl orange as an acid–base indicator. 🧪 Methyl orange appears red in acidic medium, changes through orange during its transition, and becomes yellow in basic medium. Its transition range is approximately pH 3.1–4.4.
These activities significantly enhanced the practical, interactive, and enjoyable aspects of learning, enabling students to connect classroom concepts with observable scientific phenomena.
The Principal, Mr. Nirdosh Ralhan, commended the diligent efforts and commitment of Mr. Amritpal Singh and Ms. Navdeep Kaur in organizing these engaging and informative science activities. Their valuable contributions helped make the learning experience more practical, interactive, and enjoyable for the students.
