The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), NIST University, organised an insightful alumni talk titled “Classroom to Career: A VLSI Engineer’s Approach.” The session was delivered by A. Ashis Kumar, ECE alumnus (2022–2026), currently serving as a Digital Design Engineer (Intern) at Marquee Semiconductor. Sharing his journey from classroom learning to the VLSI industry, he offered students practical insights into Verilog, SystemVerilog, RTL Design, Digital Verification, FPGA, and VLSI. The engaging interaction encouraged students to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations while exploring emerging career opportunities in the semiconductor and VLSI domain.

The Department of , NIST University proudly celebrated International Microorganisms Day 2026 on 17 September 2026, highlighting the fascinating and often unseen microbial world that profoundly influences life and our environment. The celebration featured a Painting Competition themed “The Invisible World of Microorganisms,” bringing together enthusiastic UG and PG students from across different Departments. Through art and imagination, students portrayed their perspectives on the remarkable world of microorganisms. The Departments of , , and observed the auspicious occasion in their respective laboratories, paying homage to Lord , the divine architect and symbol of engineering, craftsmanship, creativity, and innovation. The celebrations were graced by our Hon’ble President, DrSukant K.
