Dakshana One-Year Scholarship Form
This form is exclusively for a student studying either in a Government or Government-aided school.
LAST DATE TO APPLY IS 30 APRIL 2017

STUDENTS COMPLETED CLASS 12 IN JAWAHAR NAVODAYA VIDYALAYA MUST NOT FILL THIS FORM.
student who have already filled the application at www.web.gurudakshana.org must not fill the form. Their admit card will be emailed to the registered email ID.

The applicant must be a student who has appeared for the 2017 HSC/Class 12 Board examination and wish to take a year drop to prepare for JEE/NEET 2018

The Joint Dakshana Scholarship Selection Test is scheduled on May 09, 2017. Test centres will be intimated to the students through the Admit Card.

Eligibility criteria for applying:
1. Student must have scored > 60% in Mathematics and Science (State Board) or CGPA 9.0 in Class 10 Board examination.
2. Student MUST have been enrolled in Class 12 Science for academic session 2016-17 in a state govt. school / corporation school/ or a school being run and managed by the state government.

This scholarship includes free coaching for JEE/NEET with free food and accommodation at the Dakshana Foundation Campus in Pune. Absolutely ZERO cost to the student. The program starts in June 2017 and will prepare the students for the JEE/NEET 2018.

তিন কাপ স্পেশাল দুধ চা ও এক কাপ লিকার চায়ের সংযোগে, চার বন্ধুর জমানো আড্ডা থামিয়ে উঠে দাঁড়ালাম। ফিরতে হবে।
তিন বন্ধু ফিরে চলল তাদের ভাড়া নেওয়া ঘর খানার উদ্দেশ্যে।
আমি ডান দিকের বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়টিকে পাশ কাটিয়ে , এইট বি বাসট্যান্ডের দিকে পা বাড়ালাম।
রাস্তা দিয়ে চলতে চলতে দু পাশের দোকান গুলির দিকে চোখ যাচ্ছিল। তখনি মনে পড়ল,নতুন 'দেশ' পএিকাটি কেনা হয়নি।
বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়টির পাঁচিলের গা লাগোয়া ফুটপাতে নানা রকমের ছোট ছোট দোকান। বই, খাবার , মোবাইলের সরঞ্জাম....ইত্যাদির বিক্রয় স্থল।
তেমনই একটা দোকান থেকে বিশেষ গল্প সংখ্যার 'দেশ' পএিকাটি কিনলাম। ধীর পায়ে সেখান থেকে বেরিয়ে রাস্তায় আসতেই দেখি , এস্ নাইন বাসটি , বাসট্যাণ্ড ছেড়ে বেরিয়ে ইউ টার্ন নিয়ে রাস্তায় উঠছে। আমি বাসটি ধরার উদ্দেশ্যে দৌড়লাম.........

বাসটি যে ধরতেই হবে ,এমন ব্যাপার ছিল না!
অনেক বাস আছে পর পর। তবুও দৌড়লাম....বাসটি চলেছে, আমিও দৌড়চ্ছি , হুস হুস করে আলো জ্বালিয়ে রাতের শহর চিরে বেরিয়ে যাচ্ছে সব গাড়ি। আমি দৌড়চ্ছি .....! থামছি না কেন ?
প্রায় ধরেই ফেলেছি , এই তো কন্টাক্টর... হাঁক দিলাম
"থামান, ও দাদা বাসটি থামানন্"।
বাসে বসে থাকা কিছু যাএী আনমনে তাকাল !
কন্টাক্টর ঘন্টি বাজাল কি ? সে হয়তো বাজিয়েছে।
তবুও ড্রাইভার চলমান গাড়ী থামাল না রস্তায়।
একটু জোরে দৌড়ে এগোতেই থমকে দাঁড়িয়ে গেলাম, সামনে চলে আসা কিছু চলমান যাত্রীকে পাশ কাটাতে না পেরে।

ঠিক তখুনি.....
তখন পাশে বাইক থামানোর আওয়াজে ফিরে তাকালাম।

লোকটিকে একনজরে দেখে বেশ সুন্দর স্বাস্হ্যবানই মনে হল। পিঠে ব্যাগপ্যাক। অফিস ফেরত যাত্রী হয়তো। তবে হেলমেট পরে থাকার ফলে মুখটা দেখতে পেলাম না।

বিদ্যালয়ের অধ্যক্ষ যেমন গম্ভীর অথচ ভালোবেসে কথা বলে ঠিক তেমনি একটা আওয়াজে লোকটি বলল ,"চেপে বস..."

হাজারো সংশয় তখন মনে।

আমাকেই বলল তো ?এপাশ ওপাশ চাইলাম, যদি অন্য কেউ থাকে। না, কখাটা আমায় বলল ,এটা বুঝলাম দ্বিতীয় বার বসতে বলাতে।
বসব কি চেপে ?
এত ভাবনার সময় নেই যদিও ,তবুও অচেনা অজানা লোকটির বাইকে চাপব ?
সমস্ত দ্বিধা দ্বন্দ্ব কটিয়ে , ভাবনা চিন্তা গুলোকে ফুঁ দিয়ে উড়িয়ে , বাইকের পিছনে চেপে বসলাম।
এনফিল্ড কোম্পানির দামি বাইকটা দ্রুত বিকট আওয়াজে চলতে লাগল। শীতের হিমেল হাওয়ার সাথে একটা অজানা 'ভয়'ও কি মনে ঝাঁপ মারল ?

বাসটাকে প্রায় ধরে ফেলেছি ,কিন্তু স্টপেজ না এলে দাঁড়াবে না। বাইকটা গতিতে এগোচ্ছে, তখনও আমি স্তম্ভিত। কলকাতা শহরের বুকে এমনটা
ভালোমানুষ যে আজও বর্তমান, তা বিশ্বাস করাতে মনকে একটু কষ্ট হচ্ছিল বৈকি!

গতিটা একটু বাড়ল। গাড়ির লাইটগুলো দ্রুত গতিতে , নিয়ন বাতির আলোময় রাস্তার বুক দিয়ে ছুটছে দিগন্তে।

বাসটা থামল। বাইকটা বাঁ পাশ দিয়ে বাসের গেটের কাছে এসে গতি কমাল।

আমি নেমে দাঁড়ালাম। একটা আবেশ জড়িয়ে ধরল মনকে। বাসে উঠতে উঠতে , পিছন ফিরে বলা 'ধন্যবাদটা' গতিময় হাওয়ার সাথে মিশে গেল চারপাশে।
বাসের সামনে , বড় কাঁচে দেখতে পেলাম বাইকের পিছনের লাল আলোটা একসময় হারিয়ে গেল, অনেক ছোট্ট ছোট্ট হয়ে আসা চলন্ত লাল আলোগুলোর মাঝে।

At last you all have proved that "Nothing is impossible for Navodayans". All the credit of the grand success of the Alumni Meet 2016 goes to you and only you all. Let the journey begins. Hope next year also the Alumni Committee will make more bigger event.
My only concern is that the attendance of girls in the event. I am very sorry to say that it was the worst thing from girls side. Only the girls of first batch responded. I couldn't imagine that only two girls will participate from 2nd batch, the so called most active and energetic girls batch ever joined at JNV MSD. And also the nil girls participants from 6th batch.
I know most of them will give different excuses but after all it was your show.
Hope that they will try in the next Alumni Meet 2017.
Lastly thank you so much to all Alumni Members to make the event a successful one. Expecting same cooperation in the next Alumni Meet 2017. Looking forward to meet you all in 2017.

As you are all very much aware about the first Alumni Meet 2016 is scheduled to be held on 13th November 2016(Sunday) for this year. I know most of you are also very much eager to join the event, in fact me too for the chance to meet you all. All the necessary preparations are going on for the same and nearly 90 percent work has been finalized so far. Now it is your turn to make it a grand success by attending on the day. Ex-teachers and stuff members are also informed and invited to come on the day. Most of them have given positive response. Principal Sir has also taken every pain to make it a successful one.

Dear students, the event requires some money. Presently it has been arranged but a Registration charge of Rs200/-(Rupees Two hundred only) has to be paid by every alumni on the day of the Alumni Meet. And a bill will be given to every registered Alumni members along with membership ID CARD.
Now, it is my request to all alumni members to cooperate in this regard and make the first Alumni Meet a memorable one.

An earnest appeal to all of my beloved students of JNV Murshidabad.

An Alumni meet of ex-students of JNV Murshidabad has been finalized on 13th of November 2016, Sunday. 14th will be also a holiday for guru Nanak jayanti. Hence it will be convenient for all to attend the meet as far as possible. As this is the first time event in the history of JNV Murshidabad , I would like to request all my beloved ex-students from the very first to current pass out batches to join the event on the said date.

I also know that some of you will face some problems. Still we have 2 months in our hand. My request to them is, to try their level best from now so that they can attend on the date. Myself is also very much eager to meet you all, on the day.

Dear student, Will you not want to memorize your child hood days? Will you not want to meet them all?

Please come and join us on that day. Also send your present status i.e. 1. your name, 2. what are you doing at present?, 3. your email address and phone number and also 4. whether you are attending on that day or not? 5. If not, what will be your convenient dates so that in future when the same program will be organized we shall take care so that you can attend. I know there may be many contradiction on the date. But I have tried my level best to at least make an arrangement like this. Nobody has taken the initiative from 2009 to make it happen. It is among you who have taken the pain to make the dream true. I think no one among you wants to miss this opportunity for the first time from core of your heart. There may be lots of problem, myself also left the school but still I am hopeful to meet you once in a lifetime through this event. If we really love our institution, if we really consider it as our 2nd home, if we really want to pay homage to our friend philosopher and guide, if we really want to touch back our childhood, if we want to see our institution in the educational map of the state and Nation - then let's remove all ifs and buts and help us to make the event a great success. I know it is only the Navodayans can achieve any kind of success. It is my heartiest appeal to all my dear Ex-students of JNV Murshidabad to take a positive step for the betterment of this institution.
